"Great system to manage MySql databases."
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

I have used phpmydmin for a long time and I love it, it is very light and easy to use, its interface is intuitive which allows to do the work with fluency, it is also a very popular system all over the world, there is a large community of users that support its use and in this sense we can find it available in most hosting services.

It is very easy to install and we can use it in most operating systems and with any web browser, it is also very complete and functional allowing us to create, edit, consult and perform any type of operation in our database in a simple way, fast and effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

I think that for new users it can be a bit overwhelming at first because of the large number of available options, and some cases may take a while to get used to using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good manager for online databases"
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

The best thing is that as a database management tool it is very useful since I have a graphical interface and do not need to connect remotely to the database and have to execute commands. With Phpmyadmin I can manage my databases using the mouse to perform any necessary task on a database or the server in general.

In addition Phpmyadmin comes installed by default in many hosting servers along with Apache and Mysql so that in some cases it is not even necessary to install it, but even if necessary, the installation is very simple and is done through an assistant that just needs to configure the name of the database and the address of the server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

The application depends a lot on the available resources of the server so if our website is being visited by thousands of visitors at once and the server can not manage all the connections we will have problems for Phpmyadmin to run smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"MySQL webinterface, Perfect for business websites."
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

We don't need to fight with MySQL console and commands anymore, now we can do everything from phpMyAdmin website interface and this is really useful for unexperience users since they can follow tutorials from internet.

This is why phpMyAdmin is installed by default in every hosting business. and it is also why we installed by default in every webserver we use. You can handle almost every aspect of your website database using phpmyadmin.

Business aside, as a linux user I love that phpMyAdmin is as easy to install and configure on my home system just as "pacman -S phpmyadmin" compared to windows version.

Pros:

- Very simple and easy to install/use.

- Easy to Manage big databases.

- It is FREE

- Multi platform Windows, Linux and Mac support Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

I think they can improve their interface a little be to be more "clean" and up to date. We are in 2019 and that interface looks a bit old.

"Great MySQL front-end"
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

Phpmyadmin is a dashboard that allows the management of databases through the browser, in this dashboard you can create, modify or delete databases in a simple and fast way since you avoid having to use the database language ( MySQL).

Visually the default theme is very basic but it is possible to change it by one of the alternatives offered in the same application, it is also possible to download additional internet themes that improve the interface and better organize all the options.

Regarding the application technically is a front-end that runs on a web server and communicates with a MySQL server (usually on the same machine), the internal configuration of Phpmyadmin is done through configuration files that are found in the root directory of the system, although it depends on the version of Windows or Linux that is used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

- The theme that includes by default this obsolete and the alternatives are not much better, it is necessary to search the internet to find one developed by third parties that improves the distribution of the menus

- When displaying tables with many records the application takes a long time to load depending on the limit of selected records. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great to save data"
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

What I really love about phpMyAdmin is that it has a great user interface. Everything is clear. You can execute/test queries before going live/production. PhpMyAdmin allows saving a great amount of data. And it works great with other CMS such as WordPress. phpMyAdmin is also very secure. You just need to worry about how to write your SQL code. It is also easy to learn, people can learn how to use it very fast Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

I wish it could have some schema visualization. PHPMyAdmin could be complete if you could draw some diagram. Then, export those diagrams and share with your team. I also don't like that sometimes is kinda slow, especially when you try to get a big amount of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
