I like phpMyAdmin because it makes everything simple and convenient for me. I don’t have to stress about remembering complex SQL commands; I can just click around and get things done quickly, which saves me a lot of time. Managing tables or editing data is much easier, especially since I can view everything clearly like I'm working in Excel. The import and export feature is a big win, allowing me to back up or move a database with just a few clicks, giving me peace of mind. Overall, phpMyAdmin makes database work feel less technical and more practical. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a few things about phpMyAdmin that don’t work so well for me and could definitely be improved. First, the interface can feel a bit outdated and cluttered sometimes. When I’m working on bigger projects, it gets a little confusing to navigate, especially with so many options on the screen. Also, when I run complex queries or work with large databases, it can be slow or even freeze. That can be frustrating when I’m trying to get things done quickly. Another issue for me is that error messages are not always very clear. Sometimes I make a small mistake in a query, and phpMyAdmin doesn’t explain it in a way that’s easy to understand, so I have to figure it out myself. I also feel like some advanced features are not very beginner-friendly. Even though it’s supposed to make things easier, certain tasks still require me to know SQL quite well.
