The light file size is something I really like about phpMyAdmin. It's a no frills kind of program that gets right to our needs and doesn't embellish the interface with unnecessary design elements that could slow down the program. phpMyAdmin can help me to access all of the MySQL data I need to get to that might not be easy to access through other means. The search feature helps to quickly find data in all of the rows. I also like being able to save the data for export into other databases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Working only with the search and replace tools in phpMyAdmin won't always do the trick when trying to properly update data in WordPress installations. You'll have to be familiar with the specific formatting and naming conventions of WordPress in order to properly update certain database items. So in order to update certain data without breaking your installation, you should use an separate data replacement tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
