## PerfectScale Reviews
 ### 1. Brings great visibility on kubernetes clusters in all aspects of cost savings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ron C. | DevOps & FinOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2025

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

The most helpful thing in Perfectscale from my point of view is that you can actually see your kubernetes cluster in a nice UI that actually shows all of your workloads and how they're actually performing.
The cluster autoscalers is used in most of our clusters and we see a great advantage by using it.
In addition to that, the recommendations are useful to our developers so they can define their resources based on that.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

I think that they could improve their UI by showing graphs also in a tabular views so it could be much easier to track after costs during specific timeframes.
Also, bringing some AI services into their systems so they can track into workloads and notify us when some actions are needed from our side.

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems that they're solving are basically the ability to have better visibility on our kubernetes clusters from high-level to low-level which brings me the ability to observe the cluster much easier than through the console.
Also, I'm very satisfied with the recommendations and how's our cost is being reduced due to enforcing them on our clusters.

 ### 2. PerfectScale makes Kubernetes optimization effortless and insightful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tomer S. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2025

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

PerfectScale provides clear, actionable recommendations for optimizing Kubernetes workloads, helping us save costs and improve performance. The interface is intuitive, and the platform gives real-time visibility into cluster health, making it easy to spot and fix inefficiencies. The proactive alerts and automation features help us maintain stability without constant manual tuning.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

Overall, PerfectScale works extremely well. If anything, I’d like to see even deeper integrations with more third-party monitoring tools in the future, but this is more of a wishlist than a real drawback.

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PerfectScale helps us right-size our Kubernetes resources by identifying over-provisioned and under-utilized workloads in real time. This has significantly reduced our cloud costs while improving application performance and stability. The automated recommendations save our team hours of manual investigation, allowing us to focus more on delivering features rather than constantly tuning infrastructure

 ### 3. PerfectScale brings confidence and clarity to Kubernetes optimization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Omer B. | DevOps Team Leader, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2025

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

PerfectScale makes Kubernetes resource management effortless and precise. Its rightsizing recommendations are consistently accurate, easy to implement, and backed by solid data. The visualizations are clear, and the Slack integration is a great way to keep everyone aligned without needing extra dashboards. What really stands out is the exceptional support—they’re fast, knowledgeable, and quick to involve the dev team when needed. The product is stable, proactive, and has helped us achieve both cost savings and better performance across our clusters.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

The machine recommendation engine needs improvement. It doesn’t currently take into account disk types or network throughput requirements, which can be critical depending on workload profiles. In environments with frequent usage peaks or bursty workloads, the pod-level recommendations can actually be misleading—resulting in instability or performance issues. In those cases, we’ve had to turn that feature off. We’d love to see more intelligent logic or configurable constraints built into that engine.

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PerfectScale is helping us solve the challenge of overprovisioning and inefficient resource usage in our Kubernetes clusters. Before using it, we had to rely on guesswork, manual analysis, and static thresholds to set pod CPU and memory requests—leading to waste, occasional throttling, and friction between DevOps and application teams.

With PerfectScale, we now have data-driven, automated rightsizing recommendations that we can trust. This has reduced cloud spend, improved application stability, and saved our team hours of manual effort every week. The governance features ensure workloads follow best practices, and the Slack integration keeps engineers in the loop without needing to switch tools. It’s also helped us prioritize where to focus optimization, especially across fast-growing clusters.

In short, it brings clarity, confidence, and measurable results to how we manage K8s resources.

 ### 4. Great tool to have an overview of your kubernetes costs and potential savings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 25, 2025

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

Perfectscale helped us to manage resources for thousands of different workloads and services, even raised some misuse of some of them that lead to a service improvement.

It also allowed us to reduce toil related to monitorization and loosing certain cases like OOMkills and restarts that got lost between hundreds of other alarms.

The installation was straightforward and worked as expected.

The support team, and all people involved are amazing.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

Some configurations related to grouping are very overengineered for such an important feature

Some cases that might impact your service are found on the go.

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Resource management and thus cost management.

 ### 7. PerfectScale Delivers Efficiency, Savings, and Outstanding Support

 ### 8. Reinvesting to Boost Cluster Stability, Resilience, and Cost Effectiveness

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barak A. | DevOps Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2024

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

What I like best about PerfectScale is its ability to provide immediate, actionable insights into recommended CPU and memory requests and limits. By delivering real-time evidence and precise recommendations, PerfectScale eliminates the hours-long wait for service owners to assess issues, streamlining the resolution process and greatly enhancing day-to-day operations.

In our case, it helps us identify significant cost-saving opportunities, allowing us to reinvest in clusters that lack resources. This leads to a stable, resilient, and cost-effective environment without impacting our budget.

We use PerfectScale daily and have created Slack channels to receive alerts about services with gaps in their CPU and memory requests and limits. Currently, we are testing a new automation feature that adjusts JIT (Just-In-Time) CPU and memory requests and limits for pods of any deployment. As of writing this, it is working very well.

The implementation of their solution is very straightforward - just install their Helm chart, and the magic starts happening. If you want to use their new automation solution, you'll need to install an additional Helm chart, but it's not complex at all.

Their support and product managers are very responsive and open to feedback for improving UX and system features.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

In my opinion, their UI could be improved, and not everything is ready yet. There are still edge cases that their system does not cover, but they are working hard and quickly to address all gaps, bugs, and feature requests.

We are among the first adopters of their solution, and since we started using it, they have released many cool, new, and useful features.

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PerfectScale addresses the issues of rightsizing CPU and memory requests and limits, optimizing the utilization of CPU and memory resources. As a result, it enhances the stability and resilience of applications within Kubernetes clusters. In some cases, it also contributes to cost optimization, allowing us to focus on other critical DevOps issues within our organization without spending excessive time investigating OOM issues and stability and resilience concerns.

In short, PerfectScale has made scaling our operations smoother, more efficient, and more cost-effective. If you're looking for a reliable platform that grows with your needs and helps you save on costs, I highly recommend giving it a try.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

Perfectscale agent pods consuming lot's of network bandwidth, which we have reported to perfectscale hoping to see improvement in future.

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PerfectScale helps us identify waste in our EKS and pinpoint where we can save on costs

 ### 10. Takes the effort out of capacity planning and resource tuning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simone R. | Cloud Architecture & Implementation Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 01, 2024

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

Running Kubernetes clusters is no easy endeavour, and keeping costs under control while providing workloads with adeguate performance levels is a a rather time consuming task.
PerfectScale gives our engineers their time back to evolve our solutions, while the automation tunes our resource settings. This, combined with Karpenter, helps us to reduce the risk of under and over provisioning. Via the GUI it's easy to assess the effects of the tool and to visualise the metrics. Customer support is very proactive, and their guidance in achieving the best results has been outstanding. Our feedback has been taken into consideration, and new and useful features are added at a good pace.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

The tool is young but is rather solid. Some configuration options could be easier to configure, but I'm sure that given time even these minor quirks will be addressed.

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us in right sizing our workloads, and reduces the effort needed from our engineers.

 ### 11. A great helping hand in tuning-up K8s workloads in your cluster!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea C. | Cloud Architecture & Implementation Advisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 02, 2024

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

The level of details when it comes to examine your cluster:
TotalCost or CostperHour of a Pod (and of the specific containers), the Risk about your actual tuning of your workload (considering events like OOM and CPU Throttling) and the Waste/idle cost parameters (really useful to check if you are overprovisioning)

And for sure the Customer Suppport, they are always so helpful and caring!

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

Maybe it could be not easy to manage at the beginning, considering all the features.
Especially on the Automation part: It's very useful but I would suggest first to check if there are some workloads that can have problem with her activation, so you can customize properly the configuration for exclude those in case

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing the waste and costs of the K8s Clusters
Help in monitoring the platform

 ### 12. PerfectScale

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benayahu A. | DevOps, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

What I really like about PerfectScale is how it seamlessly analyzes the workloads and makes intelligent adjustments without requiring constant manual intervention. Its ability to continuously monitor and adapt to changing demands in real time has made managing complex K8s environments much easier and more effective. Plus, the intuitive interface and insightful reporting provide clear visibility into resource utilization, helping to prevent over-provisioning and underutilization.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

the automation capabilities are currently restricted to deployments, leaving out statefulsets and jobs. This can be a drawback for those managing more complex workloads. Additionally, the product still has some early-stage issues, or “growing pains.

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our system need to be adaptive for different loads, and to changes in code that require to frequently change the requirments of cpu and memory. perfectscale did that automaticly

 ### 13. The most appropriate tool for Kubernetes optimization, not too much, not too little.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** 병우 . | FinOps Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2024

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

This is the easiest to adopt and most usable Kubernetes workload optimization tool.
If you're focused on optimization, there's no better tool.
With a simple agent installation, it collects metrics from your Kubernetes workloads and recommends the right size.

The main and favorite features of this tool are...
- PodFit: recommend right-size of pods
- InfraFit: recommend right-size of nodes
- Automation: automatically rightsizes pods

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

Sometimes webpages take a long time to render depending on the number and type of workloads.
This can be fixed with some configuration, but it requires work.
I'm sure this will be improved.

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Over-provisioning and under-provisioning threaten service reliability, which is the problems we faced.
PerfectScale allowed us to address both of these issues simultaneously.

 ### 14. PerfectScale helped us achieve Kubernetes efficiency at scale

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Broadcast Media | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2024

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

The integration with our clusters and setup were easy and I liked how PerfectScale onboarded us and helped us every step of the way. We were able to take actionable steps quickly to bring down the cost of our Kubernetes clusters almost immediately. The recommendation engine for cpu and memory limits is robust and easily implemented. Finally, the autopilot feature has been working very well for us allowing us to save considerable cost with limited interaction and no negative performance impacts.

Finally, I like that PerfectScale treated us as a partner and took feature requests seriously and implemented them expodiciously. They have been a great company to work with.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

It is not necessarily a downside of using the platform but we are trying to tie pod level usage metrics to our cost of running our clusters and expose it through our cloud cost and usage reports. It would be nice if PerfectScale could help in this endeavor and we are working with them on a feature request to do just that.

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company runs very large Kubernetes clusters accross many different regions. PerfectScale is helping us gain visibility into our cluster efficiency, tell us where we could do better and provide recommendations on how to reduce waste and save money. Their auto-pilot feature is also allowing us to take advantage of these recommendations with little to no interaction, thus saving precious time of our cloud engineers.

 ### 15. PerfectScale makes you want to use kubernetes

It can cut down kubernetes costs by a large scale which are unknown to any organization

 ### 16. Perfectscale removes the burden of engineering the right size of containers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** thomas c. | Architecte Cloud et Conteneurisation, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2024

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

It is a powerfull solution that saves a lot of time to Ops teams with the question of sizing their containers.
When you're a big company or use large amount of containers this time saving become very important and valuable.

As a platform team, it is possble to deploy the solution and with no effort and then coach the platform users to use perfectscale. Having a SaaS solution with agent based is neutral in term on infrastructure consumption. A great match for those how use Datadog for exemple.

As a finops team, I can have a precise and already filtered view of what is happening inside clusters. It is something that is not available in the main public cloud providers.

It is a full story experience about sizing containers going from analyzing workloads to a set of recommandations and the final effective operations of automatically resize the containers.

The team is very responsive, feature requests process is in place.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

The solutions is still evolving in order to seemlessly add new clusters to the platform, good progress on that part but few features are still in the roadmap. When managing hundreds of cluster it could be challenging to manually active things in the UI.

The overall UI experience only manages clusters and worloads, the kubernetes Namespace is a very usefull level of agregation. It should be integrated in the solution.

We only use the recommandation mode right now because a lot of our internal customers are afraid of an automatic mode. It's hard to convince them even if we have insights from perfectscale platform. Recommandations are subjects to debates between experts, who's right in all the situations here is the question.

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sizing more than 15k deployments takes a huge amount of time, it involves around 200 different contributors (internal customers).

Just working with indicators is not sufficient in this case, Perfectscale bring automation which is a very valuable function that allows automatic resizing.

 ### 17. Ultra Low Cost & Ultra efficient Container App Optimisation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2024

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

Perfectscale.io is a wonderful tool that has emerged as one of our favourites at Client Projects - it not only finds wasted resources in compute, memory and areas where cost is an issue - it improves also performance. All the rightsizing and necessary steps are automated if chosen.

The other benefit is the cost and performance improvements with a more resilient deployment - anyone who runs expensive AI workloads in Container based deployments will appreciate this.

Also in our market we need specifically an easy and agnostic deployment method across different Container stacks - unlike other legacy tools that require a propietary and expensive to maintain Autoscaler this works with Karpenter, and other popular Autoscaling solutions which cost little now. It can be deployed on some European providers that other tools cannot do.

Support and the Engineering team are excellent via Slack and quick turnarounds on complex optimisation queries and it runs at an exceptionally low cost per vCPU hour. Really hard to beat in a market that looks for the best per Unit cost in expensive techstacks.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

I would like the UI to be improved a bit, in particular a light system toggle mode would be great -- although most deployments are done through the API and GitOps framework, its nice to switch into the UI on occasions and measure the Node consolidations and other items.

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved all the main pillars for us and our clients

1. ease of deployment on very specifc container infrastructure
2. lowest per unit cost possible
3. automation when needed and required - deploy with absolute ease at scale (full gitops workflow)
4. Performance and Resilience without the sacrifices of cost increase
5. no extra costly moving pieces with an additional autoscaler

 ### 18. Avoiding waste and bottlenecks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Siim K. | Head of IT Operations, Financial Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

The situational overview it gives about our actual running costs. Helps us to scale down where we have over provisioned and scale up where we suffer from resource shortages. Resulting with improved cost efficiency and higher overall resiliency.
Very simple to implement and operate.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

It sometimes struggles to correctly scale very specific workloads

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaling workloads to their actual needs, thus reducing waste from overprovisioning and helps us to avoid resource constraints where workloads are underprovisioned.
As a result, our applications are more cost efficient and more stable.

 ### 19. PerfectScale's secret sauce, is that it's invisible.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chad U. | Director of Platform, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2024

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

I don't need another tool, what I needed was a solution I didn't have to manage.
That's exactly what PerfectScale does. Instead of another observability tool, it's true value is you just install it and turn it on. They take care of the rest.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

Nothing at this time, they had a great onboarding experience.

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accurately right sizing our kubernetes workloads. Our workloads scale vertically instead of horizontally and PerfectScale's autoscaler has been great at our constantly evolving workloads.

 ### 20. PefectScale is like having a cheat code for k8s resource optimizations and observability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2024

**What do you like best about PerfectScale?**

perfect scale provides a one stop shop to seeing what's running and it's resource configuration at both the pod and node levels. It takes all the guess work out of figuring how where you currently stand and what things are the most important to address. Once simple Helm command and I was up and running.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

The company is growing quickly and moving fast, so sometimes things change out from under you. That said, the community and their support staff are awesome at keeping you in the loop

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PerfectScale provides and easy and intuative UI to monitor the your K8S workloads, helping you identify potential opertional and cost issues.

I like the Customer Support and the continuous product evolution. The tools is easy to use and the documentation is clear and understandable.

**What do you dislike about PerfectScale?**

Despite the documentation is clear, some steps at the interface and workload management level are difficult to understand

**What problems is PerfectScale solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Perfect scale help us in the management cost process and to develop a knowledge about the workload resource.
