Inflexible licensing model. The number of our tutors fluctuates throughout the year, which leads to adjusting our licensing scenarios with our other applications such as TutorBird, Zoom, etc....but not with Pearl. They charge for the highest number of tutors during our peak season, and will not back off of that during low-season months. This is a choice they make, and it could be a better one. Based on my experience with other applications -including the eight years I've owned this business, and my 25+ years selling software for fortune 100 IT companies, they have the most inflexible model I have ever experienced. I like that the video and white are all in one spot. I like that I can switch between screens as needed. This helps keep my students focused. I wish I could do invoices and not be required to use their payment methods. Most of my clients pay using Venmo and I am not charged a fee. I use tutor bird for my invoicing so I don't have to worry about a service fee. I also wish I could do snap shots of the interactive white board. You can only do that on the type board.
