What do you like best about PDFCreator?

I like the ease of use of PDFCreator once it is configured. It shows up as a printer, which is convenient, and can be used through the right-click menu on files. The feature to merge multiple files into a single PDF is also quite handy. The design is user-friendly, especially for our team members who aren't very tech-savvy. What do you dislike about PDFCreator?

Cost. It used to be free for people to use but now we have to pay per device and it's not really feasible to use anymore. Our client can't afford to spend money on PDFCreator unfortunately. What do you like best about PDFCreator?

It works like a virtual printer, making it possible to save PDFs in any context where a file can be printed, whether it’s a text document, a web page, or an image.

It’s available in several languages, and even after installation you can still change the language directly from the interface. This is very easy to do: just select the desired language from the drop-down menu in Settings.

The default settings already produce PDFs with a good quality-to-size ratio. However, for more specific needs, you can create custom profiles or fine-tune individual options (DPI, color model, adjusting the image compression factor, etc.). Using the information button, you can quickly access support resources such as the user guide, online documentation, and forums. Finally, by sending multiple files to print one after another, or simply dragging them into the application, you can merge them into a single PDF. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about PDFCreator?

The graphical information could be improved. For example, I only discovered by chance that you can also drag files into the application. Some features are only available in the paid version: for certain ones, like priority support or encryption, it’s completely understandable that they’re premium. For others, though—such as the ability to delete pages—I think they should be freely available to everyone. You can already work around this by manually excluding specific pages and selecting only the ones you want to print to PDF, so I don’t really see the point of keeping that feature behind a paywall.

With the default settings, the program stops working and no longer creates PDFs if a Quick Actions window remains open. The display of that window at the end of each PDF creation can still be disabled manually, but as it is, leaving it open seems to break PDF creation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is PDFCreator solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is very useful for creating PDFs from various types of documents and web pages, and it also works especially well with images. It generates lightweight PDFs that I can easily send by email. It also lets me merge multiple files into a single PDF while still allowing me to change the order of the original documents and rotate pages as needed. What do you like best about PDFCreator?

I love how PDFCreator runs smoothly on my computer, handling complex files swiftly which is crucial for my work in an engineering firm dealing with intricate AutoCAD drawings. Its ability to open PDFs with thousands of lines and layers without freezing is invaluable, especially since other programs, including web browsers, often struggle with such files. The seamless performance without any lag allows me to create and edit everything efficiently, enhancing my productivity significantly. Furthermore, I appreciate the cost-effectiveness of PDFCreator as opposed to Adobe, providing a cheaper yet reliable alternative. The switch to PDFCreator has not only saved money but also delivered better control over PDFs; being able to add notes and create forms with ease is a substantial advantage. Additionally, the initial setup process was remarkably simple, requiring just the download and installation of an EXE file, affirming the software's user-friendly nature. What do you dislike about PDFCreator?

Well, some features are available not to everybody. For example, I can combine a PDF file, but I cannot make a creation of PDF file unless I make a registration and paid money. I know it's cheaper, but for some people, they cannot pay this amount for registration. So I think some features should be free for everybody. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

PDFCreator solves several everyday problems for me. First, it lets me convert almost any file—Word documents, spreadsheets, images—into PDFs easily, so I don’t have to worry about whether others can open or view them correctly. It also keeps the formatting consistent, which means I can share documents without them looking messy or broken on someone else’s computer.
