PDF Creator for Excel Reviews & Product Details

Create high-quality PDF files from Excel without unnecessary scaling, distortion, or unreadable content. PDF Creator for Excel by Uniform Software Limited is an Excel add-in designed for users who need to export worksheets, charts, diagrams, and selected cell ranges to PDF while preserving the original layout and proportions. Unlike conventional Excel-to-PDF workflows that often force content onto standard paper sizes, PDF Creator for Excel automatically calculates the dimensions of your content and creates a custom PDF paper size. This helps minimize scaling and keeps diagrams, charts, tables, and other visual content clear and properly proportioned. Whether you are exporting a flowchart, Gantt chart, mind map, wide table, report, poster, or another large Excel-based document, PDF Creator for Excel provides a simple way to create a PDF that better matches the actual size of your content. Key Features • Create custom PDF page sizes directly from Excel Automatically calculate the size of the content and create a PDF page that fits it, rather than forcing everything into a predefined paper size. • Reduce scaling and distortion Large diagrams and wide spreadsheets can become difficult to read when they are automatically scaled down. PDF Creator for Excel is designed to avoid unnecessary scaling whenever possible. • Export Excel diagrams and charts Export diagrams, charts, and other visual content created in Excel while maintaining their original proportions. • Export selected cell ranges Select the specific range of an Excel worksheet that you want to convert to PDF instead of exporting the entire worksheet. • Export entire worksheets Generate PDFs from complete worksheets when you need to share or distribute an Excel-based document. • Preserve your Excel layout The application works with Excel's existing page setup and respects margins and page positioning options. • Support for very large documents Custom paper sizes can be used for large diagrams, charts, banners, posters, and other content that does not fit naturally on standard paper sizes. PDF Creator for Excel supports custom paper sizes up to 200 × 200 inches. • Simple Excel integration After installation, PDF Creator for Excel adds commands to Excel's UniformSoftware ribbon, making PDF creation available directly from your familiar Excel environment. • Works with Microsoft's built-in PDF printing technology The application uses the Windows Microsoft Print to PDF virtual printer while automatically defining an appropriate custom paper size before generating the PDF. Why Use PDF Creator for Excel? Excel is often used to create more than traditional spreadsheets. Many users create flowcharts, Gantt charts, organizational diagrams, dashboards, schedules, reports, and other visual documents in Excel. The problem comes when those documents need to be converted to PDF. Standard PDF export and printing workflows typically assume that content should fit within conventional paper sizes such as Letter or A4. When a diagram or spreadsheet is much wider or taller than the selected paper, Excel may scale the content substantially. Text becomes smaller, shapes can become difficult to read, and visual proportions may be affected. PDF Creator for Excel takes a different approach. Instead of starting with a standard paper size and forcing the content to fit, it calculates the dimensions of the content and defines a custom paper size accordingly. This makes it particularly useful when the PDF is intended primarily for digital sharing rather than physical printing. Ideal for Excel-Based Diagrams and Visual Documents PDF Creator for Excel is especially useful for exporting: • Flowcharts • Gantt charts • Mind maps • Organization charts • Process diagrams • Project plans • Business diagrams • Wide tables • Large reports • Dashboards • Charts and graphs • Posters and banners • Selected Excel ranges • Other large Excel-based documents For example, a flowchart may be much wider than a conventional Letter or A4 page. Rather than shrinking the entire flowchart to fit a standard page, PDF Creator for Excel can create a custom PDF page that better matches the dimensions of the flowchart. This approach helps keep text, shapes, and other elements readable when the PDF is viewed digitally. How It Works PDF Creator for Excel integrates directly with Microsoft Excel. After installation: 1. Launch PDF Creator for Excel once to initialize the Excel add-in. 2. Open your Excel workbook. 3. Go to the UniformSoftware ribbon tab. 4. Select the worksheet, range, or chart you want to export. 5. Click Create PDF. 6. PDF Creator for Excel calculates an appropriate custom paper size and generates the PDF. There is no need to manually calculate the paper dimensions for large diagrams or other unusual layouts. Custom Paper Sizes One of the main advantages of PDF Creator for Excel is its ability to create custom paper sizes based on the actual dimensions of your content. The application can calculate the required dimensions from the worksheet, selected range, or chart and account for the margins defined in Excel's Page Setup settings. Custom paper sizes can be as large as 200 × 200 inches (5080 × 5080 mm). When content exceeds the supported custom size, the application can split it across multiple pages. This makes the application suitable for documents that are far larger than conventional office paper sizes. Designed to Minimize PDF Scaling Scaling is not always a problem when the source content is close to the target paper size. However, aggressive scaling can make large diagrams and spreadsheets difficult to read and may introduce unwanted visual distortion. PDF Creator for Excel is designed to minimize this problem by dynamically defining the PDF page size around the content. This is particularly valuable for: • Large flowcharts • Complex process diagrams • Wide Gantt charts • Large organizational charts • Posters and banners • Diagrams containing many shapes and connectors • Spreadsheets with wide tables Instead of treating every document as if it needs to fit on a standard sheet of paper, PDF Creator for Excel lets the PDF page adapt to the document. A Useful Companion for Excel Diagram Tools PDF Creator for Excel can also be used alongside other Excel-based diagram and productivity tools from Uniform Software. For example, diagrams created with Flowchart Maker, Gantt charts, and other Excel-based visual documents can be exported to PDF while taking advantage of custom page sizing. This provides a convenient workflow for users who create professional diagrams in Excel and need to distribute them as PDF files. Built for Microsoft Excel Users PDF Creator for Excel works inside the Excel desktop environment rather than requiring users to manually move their content to a separate PDF application. This makes the workflow familiar: Create or edit your content in Excel → select the content → create a PDF. The generated PDF can then be shared with colleagues, customers, partners, or other recipients who do not need Excel to view the finished document. Microsoft Marketplace Availability PDF Creator for Excel is available through Microsoft Marketplace, making it a convenient option for organizations that manage software and subscriptions through Microsoft's business ecosystem. Organizations using work or school accounts can subscribe through Microsoft Marketplace and manage licenses through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. This can be particularly convenient for business and enterprise users who prefer to purchase and manage software through Microsoft's existing marketplace and administrative tools. Who Is PDF Creator for Excel For?
