# What are the best grant management tools for organizations seeking streamlined workflows and better operational insights?

I've been writing about what are the best grant management tools for organizations seeking streamlined workflows and better operational insights, and this is the combination that separates the tools most clearly. Workflow streamlining and operational insight are different problems. Platforms that do one well don't always do the other, and for organizations that need both, the overlap in the category is narrower than it appears.

Has anyone used the Submit.com dashboards specifically for board or leadership reporting rather than just program management?

Good Grants: Structured workflow for applications, assessment, scoring, and approvals with scores, comments, and criteria recorded in one place; consistent assessment across applicants makes the grant round results defensible and auditable; handles staged review processes where multiple rounds of assessment are needed.

Workflow automation and operational insight tend to deliver value in sequence, not simultaneously. Most teams feel the workflow improvement in the first grant round and only start using the dashboard data meaningfully after the second or third cycle, once they have something to compare.
