I recommend that you DO NOT USE THEM. **What do you dislike about Panorama Education?** My children's elementary school used Panorama for a parent survey. Complete DISASTER. Panorama got the names and emails wrong. My wife and I received four emails, and none of them were addressed to the correct person. Their also was supposed to only be one response per family, but they never said that and kept sending us both emails. It took multiple back-and-forths with their customer service to figure out what we were supposed to do, and by the time we figured it out, the survey window had closed and we could not provide a response to my children's school. Awful survey tool. To every school out there: please do not use Panorama and subject your parents to their litany of mistakes. You can easily compare to other schools and cultures to get a snapshot of what is going on socially emotionally **What do you dislike about Panorama Education?** I wish there more more options on how to dig into the data. Some of the questions are not appropriate for elementary but are used k-12. I think this can be changed however. I also dislike how the neutral answer counts negatively overall. This skews data on kids and shows a lot more negative feedback when they are indifferent or neutral **Recommendations to others considering Panorama Education:** Make sure you recognize what scores as negative and positive and look at each person individually, even by question and look for patterns. Some questions had trends that you can also look at because of wording or vocabulary **What problems is Panorama Education solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use panorama to look at social emotional health of our community as a school district. I love seeing the feedback especially from parents as well. It helps us be accountable for that aspect as well not just academics ### 7. My favorite part of Panorama is digging into survey results. Not only does it show your changes over time, but it shows your performance relative to other schools across the country. **What do you dislike about Panorama Education?** The one thing I wish it did differently is to analyze qualitative (open-ended) responses. We get so many and have to read them individually, but it would be nice if Panorama would somehow categorize the responses based on key-words or sort them somehow. **What problems is Panorama Education solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using the surveys to better understand how parents and staff feel about our school. We send surveys out at the beginning of the year and the end of the year to learn how perspectives changed, how changes were received, and to plan for improvement in the coming years. This data is streamlined and consistent from year to year. ### 9. It is also useful to make changes for particular student as the data helps to see the weakness and make an improvement on it. **What do you dislike about Panorama Education?** Overlaying the data so one doesn't have to struggle between district, national, teacher outcome would be nice. **Recommendations to others considering Panorama Education:** For educational institution this is a great program for comparison and have in had data for all. **What problems is Panorama Education solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps to get various data for comparison for several years. It also helps to make the report for students at different steps and to make changes accordingly for more improvement. ### 10. Panorama keeps each 'record' and all of its fields very organized, which makes it easier to produce answers quickly. Additionally, Panorama creates great and professional reports, documents, hand outs, etc. I could not imagine doing my job, as a Campaign Consultant, with out it. **What do you dislike about Panorama Education?** Learning the system takes time. There are many ins and outs of the program and even after using it for five years, I am still only using a fraction of what the program could really provide. The other downside is that the program is too large or not recognized my gmail and we are unable to upload it to shared drives within the company. You have to use Dropbox to share a Panorama file among the company. As a result, (most of the time)the file ends up getting corrupted. **What problems is Panorama Education solving and how is that benefiting you?** Everyone in the company is issued a computer with Panorama loaded onto it. For all campaigns where we manage the database (sometimes 10,000+ records), Panorama helps organize the records throughout the multi-phased campaign. In campaigns where we don't manage the database, we still utilize the program to upload smaller databases and compiling and generating goals, lists, documents, reports, etc. Its a multi-facet program. ### 12. In every other aspect of using a spread sheet, I would use Excel. It is much easier to navigate, and more widely used making sending a file easier for the recipient **What do you dislike about Panorama Education?** I find it hard to navigate. I am adding rows constantly. Does not seem to have the fluid navigation of Excel. Like stated above, it is not widely used so sharing Panos is hard. **What problems is Panorama Education solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use it within my company to help us track prospects, develop detailed reports, and merging letters. Is helpful with letters, very easy. ### 13. I've seen better programs, but if you need something that will help you and be quick about it, this will do the job. The student survey is especially helpful, as it lets students tell teachers what they need done and helps us implement it on the next level. **What do you dislike about Panorama Education?** I honestly can't think of anything bad about it, except that support can be a little iffy, depending on the agent that you speak to. **Recommendations to others considering Panorama Education:** If you can find a program that is better, by all means use it.
