The best thing is that it is open source and therefore free. It is also very well updated, and in addition to the online and desktop version, you have an official app for Android and IOS, all without any cost. The software is very good and if you are the end user it will be great, but many of those who use OwnCloud do it because it is free, but they are not taking into account that you have to pay for a server to install it, and you will also need a good administrator so that take care of the installation and administration of it once it is working. It is a tool that, if not properly maintained, can cause various headaches. That is at the administrator level, owner, but at the end user level it goes very well with the disadvantage that it does not have a collaborative document management as if it has Google Drive for example, where several users edit at the same time.
