The ODAC library is designed to help programmers develop faster and more native Oracle database applications. ODAC, a high-performance and feature-rich Oracle connectivity solution, is an efficient native alternative to the Borland Database Engine (BDE) and standard dbExpress driver. It provides both possibility of connection to Oracle by means of native Oracle data access and direct access to Oracle from Delphi without Oracle Client. ## Oracle Data Access Components Reviews ### 1. The use of parameters and macros allow all parts of a query to be modified on the fly for maximum flexibility. The "direct" mode of accessing Oracle eliminates the need for any client software for the users. Overall, the components just work the way you would want them to work. ODAC is the perfect blend of being feature rich, yet simple to use. I have been using ODAC for many years and ODAC and other DevArt components are always consistent and solid. They are also always timely in keeping current with Delphi updates. **What do you dislike about Oracle Data Access Components?** I've never had a complaint! I honestly cannot think of anything to dislike. I don't know how I could develop my applications without these components. **What problems is Oracle Data Access Components solving and how is that benefiting you?** Other products seem to work well with queries and other databases, but ODAC is the only one I have found that makes it simple to work with Oracle stored procedures with cursors. I have used them for the last 10 years and there were nearly no problems. **What do you dislike about Oracle Data Access Components?** As I'm using ODAC and SDAC in parallel in my Delphi environment, I encountered some problems when updating one of the component sets due to incompatibility between the versions.
