# How to make a direct connection to oracle exadata cloud

Need to connect to oracle cloud exadata, or via ssh with direct connection

ODAC supports Oracle Database 12c Release 2 in Oracle Cloud (DBaaS) in the Direct mode. We haven't tested ODAC with Exadata Express Cloud Service specifically, but you can try to connect to Exadata Cloud using the fully-functional trial version of ODAC. In the TOraSession component, check the Direct box, and enter the Exadata Cloud address in the Server property.
