Opentext helps us freely convert all our purchase data files into sections of useful data for analysis. Before opting Open Text this was done manually with excel, now it has been automated which saves valuable time. Classification of diffrent types of inputs is also taken care of. Our Engine Manufacturing related data is captured directly from the manufactured parts which is not 2 dimentional or plain simply put. Our palnt produces hundreds of orders of different machine parts, from which information such as date and cost are highly important. Invoices from all the documents must be processes for transperant use policy and budgeting. This data is also used for data quality improvements. Configuration needed to maintain proper user access to clusters of heirarcial data seems a bit difficult to get used to. Editing extracted data could be made more simple. Open text enables us to automate data extraction from our dealer receipts and helps categorize and organise the data we have. The data which was manually converted to usable format is now being converted to structured data for analysis with ease. The amount of manual effort reduction of updating data into backend tables is reduced by automatic scanning the invoices and updating them into the backend tables. The product seems to be only available for Windows as a client tool and we have often seen it crashing when huge number of invoices are scanned from the backend SAP system. It provides an immersive experience to all users. Any person with very little technical knowledge can make best use of it. I am able to convert lot of my books into their digital version.
