**What do you like best about OpenIO Object Storage?**

OpenIO managed in 2015 to take a step forward in object storage systems. It is not merely a system for storing and retrieving photos that anyone wants to upload to the cloud (although it also serves that purpose), but it is mainly intended to collect, analyze, and store data as close as possible to the very source of that data, without having to send it to remote warehouses; thus achieving significant time savings by processing the data in the same place where it is generated. OpenIO, thanks to its SDS system, becomes an open, lightweight, flexible, and integrated solution that also comes with open source for its main components. Being open allows us to freely download the core of the OpenIO code and test it (or even contribute to it) without any limitation regarding its functionality, while advanced features are proprietary and subject to separate licensing.

**What do you dislike about OpenIO Object Storage?**

I can't find any notable flaw.

**Recommendations to others considering OpenIO Object Storage:**

I recommend it to everyone. SDS is lightweight because it can run on a system as small as an ARM CPU core with 512 MB of RAM, but it can also scale to multi-Petabyte x86 systems, which continue running the same code. It is the perfect system for any company, regardless of its size.

**What problems is OpenIO Object Storage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its ability to adapt to the needs of each company ensures that resources are not wasted on systems far beyond actual needs, allowing for expansion as the company grows. This results in cost savings without compromising optimal performance at any time.
