We work with large research datasets, and being able to add capacity without disruption has been valuable. This is great because we have a very large amount of data and before that; we were unable to store them properly. I like how it can handle large amount of data because; it is scalable and stores data over the Cloud servers. **What do you dislike about Cloudian HyperStore?** I don't know why but I find that it does not support the speed with a large number of people working at the same time. Affordable and reliable. With replication factors, it replicates data protection. Its secure user data with its data spill feature. It encrypts actual data, its encryption includes customers to provide encryption, the server provides encryption. It is a highly manageable storage solution with seamless data management. It protects data both in private and in hybrid clouds. **What do you dislike about Cloudian HyperStore?** The interface is very poor and quite complicated for the new users. While it stores files efficiently but, we cannot able to lock them for privacy. The interface is also very poor. Sharing files always need the permission of owners. Synchronization with other software is very complex. Auto-saving is very quick but always it needs internet access with good speed as well. I love how it does not work like a traditional backup server but instead, it simplifies and automates file backup that helps me to recover my files instantly. We can easily upgrade the space with paying an economical amount for different packages. It also enables automatic backups. It saves various types of files and easy access. It is integrated with MS office as well. We can use different storage policies on one installation. **What do you dislike about Cloudian HyperStore?** There are so many weaknesses in this tool. We cannot easily share our files we always need third party or owner’s permission. It also has synchronization problem while saving files from different devices. I really love how it can be collaborated in word, Excel and PowerPoint. Security feature of this storage makes it even more reliable with your confidential documents. A lot of space is saved on personal computer because it does not transfer any file to it. I just love the fact that all of my data is saved free of cost. **What do you dislike about Cloudian HyperStore?** Sometimes I face the problem with synchronization of shared files through mobile and desktop app and re synchronization is then is in order. Some features and options of the UI make it less intuitive. The file cannot be shared to the third party unless permitted by the owner of the document. The SSL encryption for security is great in keeping data safe. It has eliminated the need of large email attachments, or thumb drives. Luckily Cloudian is a wonderful tool that I use for sharing and organization of these reports. The large storage capacity helps me in keeping bulk amount of data without worrying. It is easy to access from different devices like laptops, tablets etc. which is very convenient for me to share and receive documents wherever I need. One of the best upgrade in Cloudian are the features of folder sharing and team building. **What do you dislike about Cloudian HyperStore?** Though I find Cloudian to be of great advantage the price tag is definitely gold. Customization is quite limited in this version and the support response is just terrible. Cloud synchronization also presents with problem sometimes. Great S3 compatibility, 2. Fantastic flexibility - I can use different storage policies on the same installation, for example Erasure Coding 5+3 fand Replica 3 (first is good for bigger files and backup customers and other is good for smaller files and high request load). This is efficient from economy and perfomance points of view; - I can use any HW vendor, so no HW vendor lock; - Can be different HW specification in the same DC, so it is easy to grow. 3. QoS management 4. Multitenancy. This and previous are important for us as cloud provider 5. Gateway for NFS/CIFS/SFTP as addition to solution to connect from any device, can be installed on customer side. So we can get traffic from eny customer ) **What do you dislike about Cloudian HyperStore?** Need to use Linux command line ) But it is for me. For my technical colleagues it is good. **What problems is Cloudian HyperStore solving and how is that benefiting you?** After spending close to a year testing all the major object storage vendors, Cloudian proved to have the most resilient, mature and performant product that matched extremely well the architectural concepts of Interoute's Virtual Data Centre. After testing Redhat and Scality, Cloudian stod out as a modern and ease of use solution. Perfomance, scalability and Flexability was great, and last but not least , had the best TCO for our use (STaaS). ### 12.
