## About OpenEvidence
OpenEvidence is a medical information platform designed to assist healthcare professionals in navigating the vast and rapidly expanding body of medical research. Originating from the Mayo Clinic Platform Accelerate program, it integrates multimedia and clinical findings from esteemed sources like The New England Journal of Medicine. By aggregating, synthesizing, and presenting clinically relevant evidence in accessible formats, OpenEvidence empowers medical practitioners to make informed, evidence-based decisions, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.

## OpenEvidence Reviews
  ### 1. OpenEvidence: Clear, Evidence-Backed Answers and an Invaluable Customizable AI Scribe

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Courtney S. | Resource Navigation Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenEvidence?**

I appreciate that OpenEvidence presents information drawn from reputable medical journals, and that it presents the strength of the cited evidence within the references section. It is easy to filter by type or date of evidence within your prompt. Answers are presented in plan English, with graphics as appropriate, which makes them easy to incorporate as part of my workflow even during busy periods. The user interface is straightforward, intuitive, and easily lets me organize my queries by either topic, patient, or visit history. The addition of a customizable AI scribe is invaluable and places OpenEvidence at the top of its category.

**What do you dislike about OpenEvidence?**

The Community feature feels underdeveloped, in part because it is a newer feature. The social networking aspects of the program could be expanded to increase opportunities for professional connections (i.e., similar to LinkedIn). OpenEvidence also lags slightly behind its competitors in consistency of information- there have been times that I've posed the same query twice and received differing information.

**What problems is OpenEvidence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenEvidence saves time and energy by browsing peer-reviewed publications and drawing the most relevant information from them, saving wasted time in locating and poring through journals. This allows me to focus my attention primarily on patient care and related administrative tasks, while feeling comfortable that I am basing treatment decisions on validated evidence.

  ### 2. OpenEvidence Makes Medical Research Faster and Easier

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** LOKESH G. | Engineer.SGB TCS-FS CORE BANKING,Production, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenEvidence?**

I like OpenEvidence because it **makes researching medical information faster and easier**. The answers are presented clearly, and it’s convenient to find relevant details without having to dig through multiple sources.

**What do you dislike about OpenEvidence?**

One thing I dislike about OpenEvidence is that some answers can feel a bit limited when I’m looking for very specific or highly detailed information. I also think it could benefit from more customization in how the results are presented, so it’s easier to view the information in the format that works best for me.

**What problems is OpenEvidence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

OpenEvidence helps solve the problem of **spending too much time searching through different medical sources for relevant information**. It pulls useful information into one place, which makes my research faster and more convenient, and the results are easier to understand when I need quick answers.

  ### 3. A massive time-saver for point-of-care medical research

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** RaHul K. | Senior Sales Officer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenEvidence?**

It cuts out the research grunt work and gives you clean, evidence-based medical answers you can actually trust and verify on the spot.

**What do you dislike about OpenEvidence?**

While the citations are real, the AI summary can sometimes gloss over study limitations, overstate a trial's conclusions, or pull from a well-known older study that newer consensus guidelines have moved past. You still have to click through and verify the source yourself.

**What problems is OpenEvidence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem OpenEvidence solves for me is information overload and the time crunch during clinical workflows
It bridges the gap between massive medical literature and fast point-of-care decisions, giving me quick answers I can actually trust and verify on the spot.

  ### 4. Easy Patient Evaluations with Faster Notes and Stronger Differential Diagnoses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Higher Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about OpenEvidence?**

Easy to use during a patient evaluation. Helps to fill in potential blind spots and differential diagnoses. Saves time writing notes.

**What do you dislike about OpenEvidence?**

Sometimes the information can be a bit overthinking for the situation, but it gives me plenty of "what if" to consider for the patient.

**What problems is OpenEvidence solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes the patient evaluation more holistic without unnecessarily taking up more time. As a solo practice, time is at a premium but thorough documentation is required. This platform helps me to make the best use of my documentation time.

  ### 5. Helpful for Confirmed Diagnoses, Less Reliable for Ambiguous Symptoms

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

  ### 6. A GPT Optimized for Medical Inquiries

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

The problem of finding source-backed medicine information from reliable sources.
