We are able to store the most valuable information, as well as gather further information in a real time manner. The very best feature of Ontic is really the people who assist us through the process of using the platform and are always open to new ideas about how to make it more effective. **What do you dislike about Ontic?** Setting up permissions was a bit complicated, but I do appreciate how granular we can get. **Recommendations to others considering Ontic:** I 100% support other companies using Ontic if they are looking for a threat management solution that is customizable and easy to use. **What problems is Ontic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Most importantly we are using Ontic as a data storage platform. The best benefit we have realized thus far is the ability to share relevant information in a timely manner to all operations personnel and intel analysts. The real time arrest records have been very helpful as well. Ontic ensures we have all of the needed information at our fingertips. ### 3. The interconnected tools allow for seamless data integration. Functions like Geo maps and metrics are game-changers for our department. **What do you dislike about Ontic?** Not much! However, there are so many features within the platform that it takes time to learn everything and get used to. My recommendation is to utilize your Account Rep and train and learn as much as you can about the program and the operations. **Recommendations to others considering Ontic:** Take full advantage of all training as well as the Ontic's Center for protective intelligence. These are all great resources and not only will they help you with using the program, they help you with your security program overall. **What problems is Ontic solving and how is that benefiting you?** bottlenecks and difficulties with a protective intelligence program including threat analysis and report management. Also, based on the metrics within the system we were able to show value in the efforts conducted by our group. ### 4. I also like the social feeds and the ability to adjust them to find the information that I need for intelligence purposes, especially with Boolean Logic, which we use at Universal Music. Those two features are great. I really like also how Ontic visualizes data for us on protective intelligence matters, breaking down our people of interest (POIs) on a regional level so our executives understand where in the United States our threats lie. **What do you dislike about Ontic?** Sometimes the tabs can be confusing, especially when you're trying to find a certain one. I question the organization of the tabs, as I don't find it particularly intuitive for individuals relatively new to Ontic. That being said, I don't find it to be a major hindrance to my work. **Recommendations to others considering Ontic:** I would definitely recommend Ontic for individuals seeking a tool for protective intelligence purposes. Ontic is multipurpose, and anybody hoping to keep organized files on people of interest (POI) and also proactively seek intelligence for physical security purposes could benefit greatly from Ontic. I also would recommend Ontic to anyone hoping for a tool that visualizes data on protective intelligence matters. **What problems is Ontic solving and how is that benefiting you?** We're able to better organization the persons of interest that pose a risk to my company, Universal Music Group. It makes it easier to pull a report on them at the request of an executive. We are also able to find information more easily in the social feeds regarding what the media and major publications are saying about our executives, for brand and reputational purposes. ### 5. It gives a single analyst the ability to look at multiple information streams at the same time pushing only the most important information to the front for immediate review. **What do you dislike about Ontic?** Does not have a mass alert function. I would also like to see a travel intelligence function that would produce an easy to digest report for our supported executives. This would have key contact information in case of emergencies. **Recommendations to others considering Ontic:** Get an idea of all of the products within ONTIC to properly advocate for the investment in the program. **What problems is Ontic solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem that we are addressing is getting multiple teams within our security functions across the world to use a single product and allow for standardization and cross talk amongst key stakeholders. ### 6. Platform enhancements in those areas would greatly benefit our program. **What problems is Ontic solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are leveraging Ontic as a holistic collection and case management platform. We have realized immediate and measurable benefit in three areas: most entity research can now be done through one platform rather than several; we can continuously collect OSINT on relevant topics and can be immediately alerted to signals of concern; and we now have a platform for storing case files and managing those cases over time. ### 7. I like that all POI information is kept in one place. POI and social signals. It doesn't lag behind in the POI category, but in social signals lags behind Liferaft Navigator. **What do you dislike about Ontic?** The fact that the documentation is poor. The alerting lags behind a competitor (Liferaft Navigator). Fix the documentation issue. The questions are repetative. **What problems is Ontic solving and how is that benefiting you?** Blah - just getting to the question. Benefits - ability to track and alert on persons of interest, and because of this am more productive. Performance is slightly increased. ### 8. The platform gives us a centralized place to house all of our information, and the dev team is constantly adding new quality of life features to improve the user's experience. **What do you dislike about Ontic?** Ontic is constantly adding in new tools that integrate with everything else in the platform, but you might need to wait for a chance to implement them if you have strict yearly budget constraints. **Recommendations to others considering Ontic:** If your organization needs to track multiple people for potential threats, unusual interest, or other concerning behaviors, Ontic can help you efficiently research and store any appropriate findings. **What problems is Ontic solving and how is that benefiting you?** We now have a centralized system to store all of the information for our POIs/ BOLOs. The platform makes it easy to track and automate some updates and reassessments, and we're able to quickly share relevant information with teams on the ground by generating BOLO reports. ### 16.
