I started using OmmWriter because I thought it might help me overcome writers' block. I like that the app has a selection of visual backgrounds, background music, typing sounds and different typefaces to choose from.

My favourite thing about OmmWriter is that it transports me to a different place. I've found this helpful for creative writing where I need to enter a different and less busy headspace to be successful. The overall feel of the product as a user doesn't quite match the marketing. The UI within the word processing part of the product feels very basic, with a resizable text box and small icons on the sidebar to change the background, music, sounds, and typefaces. The price of this tool is not expensive, but I did leave feeling a bit disappointed.

The different options for customising your writing experience get boring quite quickly. It would be great if the team decided to invest in making the writing experience feel as sleek as the overall branding. Having a broader option of backgrounds and sounds would also be helpful.

I often draft up creative work in OmmWriter and would really benefit from integrations with other drafting tools instead of just an upload/download button. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have tried several writing software and apps, including Microsoft Word which has a "focus" mode, but Omm Writer has been the program that I keep going back to. I even have it permanently added to my ribbon on my Mac so that I can easily pull it up whenever I have to focus and write an important email, draft an academic assignment, or even experiment with a creative writing project. The features are simple and are ones that you will actually use, like adjusting the background image and sound. There aren't any frills that make it difficult to master or distracting. I wish that there were a few more backgrounds, but that is a very minor issue. When I downloaded Omm Writer, it was provided on a donation basis but I don't know if they still have this model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really like the application because it presents a good interface between the computer and the user since it opens in full screen mode and also this app has a natural environment where one can relax and write in a fluid and effective way because of the concentration that It generates, free of distractions so as I personally love writing this does not distract me and find a direct connection between what I am thinking and writing and at the same time this is more efficient and makes the writing flow, for your funds to put a mind in which is only concentrated on the writing and the sounds generated by the application. For the moment in the application I have not found something that I dislike Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I gave Ommwriter a try because I was trying to focus on writing for a project, the idea is cool, a focused editor with a nice layout and interface and the background music you need to get some work done while staying focused. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

However, I'm not really sure if that's something that's of real value, at least for me. I mean, you can probably recreate the same experience yourself with a much more advanced editor, loads of features, and almost all of the advanced editors now have nice looking interfaces, not as cool, but more functional for sure.
