I recommend it because it allows you to work safely with data and corporate applications, from any device anywhere they are. It provides intelligent security solutions against threats on the web. Protects the digital assets of the organization against accidental or intentional leaks. It works efficiently because it prevents identity theft for those who want to access their accounts. It is a program that is handled without difficulty so it is very easy to use because it shows a simple and direct interface. On the other hand, the administration from the console allows real-time scanning to be carried out in hours that the provision of the service has not been provided. Smart scanallows the equipment to be protected at all times. **What do you dislike about OfficeScan?** What displeases me about the OfficeScan is that when the real-time scan starts, the computer gets very slow, but this is hardly logical because it uses much of the RAM and hard drive. Sometimes the OfficeScan has not started me when I started the operating system but with a simple restart this problem has been solved. **Recommendations to others considering OfficeScan:** The OfficeScan solution offers a host of features that allow protecting the endpoint devices of cyber threats, and allows you to apply information loss and encryption controls. Additionally, it can be integrated with other solutions to offer greater protection. **What problems is OfficeScan solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problems that we are currently solving in the organization thanks to the OfficeScan is that we can contain the Malware that threatens our infrastructures and endpoint devices. Lock on writing and exfiltration of files on USB ports is also being made. The constant updating of signatures by TrendMicro, allows us to protect ourselves from a large number of threats long before they can generate any damage. ### 5. It is easy to upgrade, however, the upgrade versions are pretty confusing. Support is top notch for business clients. Threat definitions are often outdated than other security vendors. A lot of options at management interface is confusing. I liked the fact the install went relatively smooth, no hick-ups--on both pc and mac platforms. Also was able to simulate a carbon copy effect on duplicate environment, Was able to connect to system notifications for our interactive knowledge base.. **What do you dislike about OfficeScan?** The only thin that I found was reporting is not easily obtainable, although you can go into the security compliance and run a manual report--look under the web console section. In talking to other associates that they were under the impression that they were going to add or update the abilities in this feature. **Recommendations to others considering OfficeScan:** If you are looking for a protection software to get you covered and up an running in short amount time pertaining to your needs. Issues former users may have experienced with end point performance have all be remedied over recent years. Implementation of on-prem instances of smart protection eliminate potential latency issues when performing URL checks. Upgrade to latest version of Office Scan (including the SP 1 released Mid November was completely transparent to users. Over 700 endpoints upgraded and no end user issues! **What do you dislike about OfficeScan?** Normalize the feature requirements to make product evalutation and justification simpler. Other products were looked at, but we had not defined a "clear" set of requirements. This made it difficult to elimate potential players and dragged out final selection. **What problems is OfficeScan solving and how is that benefiting you?** There is no "end-user" (i.e. client) training required for the product. Administrator training is available, but infrequent in our area, however, Trend has bridged this issue by providing assistance by SEs and has been willing to run training sessions at our facility for customers and partners in the area. ### 11. Deployment and updates go well and run in to few issues as long as it is the only AV/AM on the end-point. **What do you dislike about OfficeScan?** Management and GUI is not obvious. Getting a current status and logs requires lots of scrolling. The product is technically sound, but usability is lacking. Deployment and use on macOS has been problematic and not reliable as well. **What problems is OfficeScan solving and how is that benefiting you?** We need a reliable AV product on all of our Windows endpoints. Doesn't take up much resources. Finds and reports issues. Server upgrades are not problematic. **What do you dislike about OfficeScan?** Anything more than doing antivirus is weak. Using the mdm had issues where the mandatory apps when installed still tell users to install the apps.
