This module has big potential. **What do you dislike about Odoo Survey?** There is no possibility to merge answers to some model or field. For every survey, I am linking old questions and old answers manually. You can't take information from a repeated survey and create a report table. I need more results on the backend side, not only on the frontend side. I think it's one of the difficult modules for customization. **What problems is Odoo Survey solving and how is that benefiting you?** Collecting all information about everything. make surveys, make tests ... ### 2. Not only can you produce surveys to get opinions from your customers or employees, but you can also launch evaluations and certifications. **What do you dislike about Odoo Survey?** Sometimes it is more practical to prepare your questions and answers in excel and import it later into odoo survey, but in odoo surveys it may seem complicated the first time, but it is not a problem once you master it. **What problems is Odoo Survey solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before odoo survey we did not have adequate tools to obtain feedback from our clients, Google forms were fine, but it was not integrated with other of our processes. Odoo survey not only solved our need to get feedback from our customers, but it also allowed us to go one step further with our internal training and coaching processes. ### 3. Creating surveys was intuitive; different types of questionaries were useful. It's great to have a tool integrated with ODOO crm and not having to export from external tools like Google forms or Surveymonkey. **What do you dislike about Odoo Survey?** I expected report features to be better. Exporting answers is not that intuitive. I wish it had better dashboards to show the answers. It would be great if it could count with more Design tools to tweak the UI. **Recommendations to others considering Odoo Survey:** Great to use if you are already using the ODOO ERP or CRM. Integrates very well with ODOO modules **What problems is Odoo Survey solving and how is that benefiting you?** Customers surveys, Net Promoter Score. Random polls. UI was friendly and had a sound design. Internal surveys. Didn't waste time importing answers from 3P survey tools. ### 8. Once you get things set up on the backend and up and running the program really provides some useful metrics depending on what information you set it up to collect. The filters that you are able to use and create cover a wide variety and have never let me down as of yet. **What do you dislike about Odoo Survey?** Odoo Survey is a good product and I have not had too many bad experiences with it, however, there are some things that could be worked on or improved to see this platform really accel into the next level. The largest issue was initially getting Odoo set up and all of our already existing projects, processes, and data moved over to the new platform in Odoo. This was quite the chore and took a lot longer than we initially anticipated. Getting our team up to speed after using a different program took several group and individualized one-on-one sessions with employees because of how unintuitive the program was. This was not a plug-and-play experience for us and took considerably more time and effort than originally intended. **What problems is Odoo Survey solving and how is that benefiting you?** Odoo Survey helps us to realize our performance with key metrics, how we can improve upon them, where we may be lacking, and what others think about it. ### 9. Remember that an ERP is not the same as a specific management program (billing, accounting ...) An ERP integrates all or almost all areas of the company, hence its complexity and in turn its great advantage. See here the advantages of ERP ODOO. For these reasons I explain in this article what factors must be taken into account in order not to crash and fail in the implementation of ERP ODOO. **Recommendations to others considering Odoo Survey:** research more on the subject and be more concise in your answers and tell the truth. **What problems is Odoo Survey solving and how is that benefiting you?** Many people think that performance problems in Odoo are solved by enlarging the servers on which the ERP runs. And although there is some virtue in that solution, it is like too much. Enlarging the server should be the last resort when attacking Odoo performance issues. Most of the performance problems in Odoo are related to the PostgreSQL database, because it is badly configured. By default when installing Odoo, one installs PostgreSQL, and the database installation is done with a very conservative configuration. For example it does not benefit from the usual memory that a server has for caching purposes. Just tapping a few parameters in the postgresql.conf configuration file (such as shared_buffers and effective_cache_size) can make a noticeable improvement. Still, it is best to follow the performance guide in the Postgresql documentation. Another related point is to vacuum the database. Once talking to a friend who had worked in technical support for Informix, he told me "PostgreSQL is very simple, you just vacuum and solve all the problems." While the comment is quite simplistic, there is much reason in his words. Many problems are solved with the vacuum. What is it? It basically "compresses" the database. It's the old "pack" of DBFs. What it does is physically delete the records (which can be many) "dead" that exist in the database. Finally, you have to install pg_stat_statements. It is a contrib module for PostgreSQL that logs the statistics of each SQL statement that the database server executes. Then with a single query, you cannot know which are the statements that consume the most resources from the database. While this is not a guide, it is the initial steps one takes to view perofrmance problems on an Odoo server. Then it remains to analyze the problematic modules, hardware, network, etc. ### 12.
