**What do you like best about Octave?**

Before Octave, our GTM messaging was scattered. ICP definitions lived in one doc, positioning in another, and sales reps were winging it with their own versions of our value prop. The result was inconsistency across every customer conversation.
Octave solved three specific problems for us: (1) it gave us a single source of truth for our ICP and positioning, (2) it translated that strategy directly into sales messaging our reps could actually use, and (3) it cut our messaging development process in half. We went from weeks of back-and-forth between marketing and sales to a streamlined workflow that got the whole team aligned fast.
It's the missing link between GTM strategy and execution.

**What do you dislike about Octave?**

Nothing, as of lately. It's an easy to use platform

**What problems is Octave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Octave has completely transformed how we approach GTM strategy and sales messaging. Before Octave, getting aligned on our ICP definition and positioning was a slow, fragmented process. Now we’ve cut our messaging workflow in half, and our entire sales team is finally operating from the same playbook.

What sets Octave apart is how it connects the dots between positioning, ICP, and real sales messaging in one place. It’s not just a doc repository; it’s a thinking tool that pushes you toward clarity and consistency. The UX is intuitive enough that adoption wasn’t a battle, and the feature set is deep enough that it continues to support you as your GTM motion matures.

For any revenue or marketing team that’s serious about tightening up messaging and getting sales and marketing to speak the same language, Octave is a no-brainer. It’s genuinely one of the highest-ROI tools in our stack.

**What do you like best about Octave?**

Octave has been a game changer for how we approach outbound and GTM strategy. It's helped us to develop highly personalised, signal-driven engagement at scale.

What stands out most is how it structures and operationalises ICP definition and research, making it much easier to qualify then align messaging, targeting and sequencing around real customer signals, rather than assumptions. 

It's also flexible from a GTM engineering perspective, as we're able to plug it into our existing stack. 

Zach and the team are very hands on and supportive - regularly taking the time with the team to train us up and keep us updated.

**What do you dislike about Octave?**

The team are constantly innovating and improving, so nothing!

**What problems is Octave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding our customers ICPs more deeply to get them in front of the right people authentically and engage with genuine interest.

We've seen higher engagement rates and better quality conversations as a result of using Octave, averaging 30%+ on positive reply rates.

**What do you like best about Octave?**

I like most the responsiveness of their team and how knowledgeable they are. I'm able to jump on a call with their executive team and talk through client use cases, their product road map, and I get a really strong understanding of where they're moving forward in the next few months. The MCP server integration is absolutely critical, and the ease of connecting to Octave and training the system through any AI model out there really makes using the tool scalable and easy to do on a day to day. The initial setup of Octave is very easy, with a straightforward and simple onboarding experience, and demoing it live to companies is what draws my clients into adopting Octave as a part of their tech stack.

**What do you dislike about Octave?**

We are now in a world where context is key around businesses, around the conversations you're having, and around the conversations your sales and customer success teams are having with clients. A big piece of that is visually understanding and being able to see how this has been trained over time and how it's evolved over a long period of time. This is the one area that I think Octave is growing towards, but just currently isn't as clean within Octave or any other tool out there for that matter.

I use Octave to streamline go-to-market campaigns, manage cold email outreach, and enhance operational flow. It acts as a generative brain for executing sales outreach and marketing, serving as a context engine for my brands and clients.

**What do you like best about Octave?**

I use Octave as a messaging and segmentation platform to host intelligence on my market and offers. It lets me have a single place to store things, update them, and then have others access that knowledge like an API. I like that it's built from salespeople who understand outbound and aligns to the modern world of aligning product marketing with sales and sales development. Zach, their Founder, has a deep understanding of GTM and they've done well to make a cockpit for product marketers and positioning pros. The initial setup was extremely easy.

**What do you dislike about Octave?**

It takes a second to get clear on where Octave lives vs other tools like Clay, but woould barely call it a "dislike" so much as something to get used to

**What problems is Octave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Octave as a messaging and segmentation platform to host market intelligence, allowing a single place to store and update information, and then access that knowledge like an API. It aligns product marketing with sales, enabling reps to be more precise.

**What do you like best about Octave?**

Octave turned me into an AI believer by providing vital context harnesses to AI agents about our product, messaging, use cases, and reference customers. Slop has been replaced by valuable, personalized GTM assets and sales enablement.

**What do you dislike about Octave?**

Nothing to dislike. I hope they expand into more uses cases (e.g. becoming a content repository that can be referenced through LLMs).

**What problems is Octave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Octave is used as a GTM context layer for our entire company. Information from Octave is used to run several GTM motions: personalized POV documents for inbound requests, personalized printed PDFs to hand out to prospects at events, messaging-aware sales enablement, and more.

**What do you like best about Octave?**

If your business needs various classifications, signals, and data to define your ICP and personas, Octave allows you to transcend fields and contextualize your entire database. This has allowed us to be more strategic across the GTM.

Not much. Lack of determinism maybe but that is GenAI as a whole.

**What problems is Octave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us understand our database across our various segments, product offerings and personas. It helps us define rules of engagement, and get people actioning the right people. It also works wonders for onboarding people.

**What do you like best about Octave?**

Octave internalizes our ICP, positioning, and competitive landscape, and that intelligence stays consistent whether you’re running one agent or dozens. It also doesn’t degrade when you push volume through it, which really matters when you’re scoring a full TAM or generating personalized messaging at scale.

The integrations are clean as well. Outputs pipe directly into Clay and the rest of our outbound stack, so the work the agents do actually gets used instead of sitting in another tab that nobody checks.

The ROI is pretty clear: it would’ve taken us several months to map out our TAM, but we were able to do it in days with Octave.

What I’ve appreciated most is that the team doesn’t just hand you a login and wish you luck. They help you think through how to structure your context and agents in a way that matches your real GTM motion. And the Slack community they're building is a nice add. That kind of embedded support makes a big difference in how quickly you get to value.

I’m a big fan of what Octave is building, and I’d recommend it to any GTM leader who has a broad TAM with lots of facets to uncover at scale.

**What do you dislike about Octave?**

There's a lot to like, I don't have many dislikes. They really ship solutions fast and are constantly innovating. I actually had them ship bug fixes at 8pm while going back and forth via Slack recently. As with any rapid-growth startup, there will be kinks and clunkiness, but Octave does a great job at minimizing the bumps in the road.

**What problems is Octave solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaling GTM knowledge across a lean team, speeding up internal team member onboarding and sharpening positioning, and creating a systematic, agent-driven approach to account prioritization.
