What do you like best about Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance)?

It's difficult for me to identify what I like best, because the entire application is just so useful. I'm in EtQ multiple times every single day. We adopted EtQ Reliance back in 2012 at RRD, and initially rolled out the Doc Control and CAPA modules for all locations at that time. As the CI Specialist for my location in West Bend, WI, I quickly began using additional modules to support our QMS (Customer Feedback, NCMR, SDS, Audits, Meetings, basically all of them). In the last four years I have also championed the promotion of EtQ to sites in my Commercial Print platform that RRD acquired more recently. Specifically, Calibration and Maintenance, NCMR, & CAPA. Every time I see the raised eyebrows, nodding heads, and those lightbulbs turn on, with other site leaders who just realized how EtQ will make their work days easier and reduce excessive manual processes, it just brings me so much joy. I'm looking forward to future upgrades that will make EtQ even better than it is today. And I can't imagine what our QMS would be like without this amazing tool. What do you dislike about Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance)?

Me, I love everything about it. But feedback I've heard from other users who don't use it as often as I do include the following; * Too many clicks to find what I'm looking for * Frequent use of Save & Close, as opposed to phase tracker routing, resulting in past due assignments * Teeny tiny font when printing a PDF of a CAPA document Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance) solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our clients work with multiple RRD sites, and today when issues arise, the client isn't always getting the same level of service from the various locations they work with. Even something as simple as the method for delivering RCA and CAPA. One site may be using the G8D document from EtQ, another may issue an offline form, and another may simply communicate through email alone. But we are One RRD, and things like this can all be managed in a standardized way. Commercial Print alone is the largest platform within RRD, made up of 37 manufacturing sites. Currently we are working with all CP sites to standardize QMS procedures and EtQ module utilization so that our clients get the best common experience from all our locations. It's still work in progress, but we're making significant headway with support from platform leadership. Another significant problem that EtQ has solved for the entire corporation (100+ sites) is delivering a standardized method for collecting compliance audit records for all of our EHS programs. Through use of annual audits and a standardized checklist for all, each site is able to document their actions to assure compliance. Previously, this data was collected through a custom intranet application that basically served as a pencil whipping exercise. No evidence could be gathered, no historical information was available YOY for plants to reference, etc. The Audits module completely changed how this information was collected, and created a much better sense of accountability for all. "Optimizing Quality Management with Etq Reliance - a comprehensive solution"

What do you like best about Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance)?

Ability to cover all elements for manufacturing quality comprehensively stands out. Tailored workflows to meet our organizational needs, without heavy reliance on a lot of IT skills is quite useful for most of our users. Nexus helps seamless integration across all relevant modules like Supplier profiles, materials, audits, risk assessment etc, improving collaboration and operational efficiency between regions and segments within our business. What do you dislike about Octave Reliance (ETQ Reliance)?

My main frustration is around the tiresome effort involved in extracting Nexus data to gain valuable foresights. I'm not sure if this is an Etq thing, or if the roadblock is within the system's architecture within my organization, but a key direction for me is to unlock this potential to get the best of available Nexus data. ETQ's implementation capability is very high, fast and without issue that could not be resolved on the fly. The system was delivered in less than three months. Working hand in hand and with strong internal preparation, understanding the capabilities and connections between apps and then a focused change management is an important premise for success. The App selection is extensive and can be expanded on, and come with a basic functionality. With the right internal Admin and Designer resources a lot of smaller modification can be performed, and ETQ offers packages for further rollout stages with their experiences implementation staff. ETQ has a big suite of "out of the box" applications. Activating them properly needs more effort than initially expected. For proper expectation and requirement alignment, ensure that you get early access to the ETQ Academy for each future application owner to properly check the functionality of the applicable Apps. These apps can be further customized and improved with internal dedicated resources, just ensure you understand potential gaps from the beginning and select the best fit App packages - as they work together - that deliver the best ROI. Being a Medical device company, using EtQ Reliance, our main focus is on Complaints Handling, CAPA. Apart from that we are utilizing OOB (Out of Box) modules. EtQ gives the ability to design and build our own modules. Using this, we have transformed the QMS application into an Enterprise Application.
