**What do you like best about Numerator Insights?**

I really like the ease of repeating reports on Numerator Insights, and the larger sample size of 200K is fantastic for my category. It's also very easy to set up, which is a big plus.

**What do you dislike about Numerator Insights?**

It's harder to create customer groups based on products than other platforms. I have to contact my Numerator support to have it done.

**What problems is Numerator Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Numerator Insights for customer insights for Walmart support. It helps me understand where sales are going and coming from. I like the ease of repeating reports and the larger sample size, which is better for my category.

Numerator provided market data for both home improvement and cleaning product categories that were actionable & relevant. Both senior executives of the vendor organization as well as customer groups relied on Numerator data to influence strategy + assortment.

Numerator insights are extremely easy to export, making it simple to take a graph or data point and embed it within your own deck. The graphics are clean and easy to comprehend.

Numerator insights can be limited in scope. There are specific time frames or topics I have looked for insights on and Numerator has not had them available.

**What problems is Numerator Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was trying to understand how comparatively big Prime Day was last year vs the other Prime Days like Prime Big Deals Day and Black Friday Cyber Monday. Numerator provided shopping stats on number of users that purchased as well as what types of items they were purchasing, and on which specific days. This is making it easier for me to show my clients the impact of their media buys surrounding these events.

Numerator Insights has provided significant value to our organization by giving us a detailed look at the consumer who is purchasing our product - allowing us to see not only the POS data we have been accustomed to, but giving us a real peek into who is making those purchases and most importantly why.

**What do you dislike about Numerator Insights?**

Nothing at all - Numerator has been a pleasure to work with, and I have no negative feedback at all to share. We have been consistently pleased with the product.

I enjoy the real-time data, ability to capture a cross-channel view, and importantly getting data relevant to immediate consumption - which is crucial to our category and brands. The hands on nature of the platform also allows us the ability to drill down and answer an unlimited number of business questions that come our way.

While I like the self-service nature and flexibility of the platform - the templated approach is occasionally challenging. I have strong and curious analytically minded people on the team that really want the ability and flexibilty to create their own cross-tabs and filtering.

Understanding in-market acceptance and success of new product launches; understanding overlap of consumers' brand, category and channel shifting; tagging our proprietary category segments to dive deeper into their shopping behaviors.

The partnership that Numerator provides is best in class.The Insights platform is easy to use and the ability to work with us on data to evolve the way that we consume and use data has been very helpful.

We are always pushing for more granularity and item level data. We are looking forward to expanding the sample.

Traffic and trip insights have helped us monitor how shoppers are returning to the marketing post covid. We are able to create custom segments to allow us to tap into specific groups and drive share.

Having all the breakouts for shopper profile and psychographics is incredibly helpful. Its a very easy platform to use.

Having more capabilities for the Smart User groups would be great to save time in creating people groups

We use the insights daily in looking at the SHopper Metrics report as well as the shopper profiles. We are in the pet industry, so having access to the premium people profiles is extremely helpful.

Being able to get a broader understanding of my product's shopper. The best part is understanding leakage across retailers.

When digging into the product level, especially at a retailer level, there is often too low of a sample size. This makes it difficult to see the results I'm looking for.

I like the depth of the tool -- Numerator allows you to access with an immense granularity (whatever can't be reached through defaults can be reached through custom pulls) and help synthesize easy-to-read reports.

**What do you dislike about Numerator Insights?**

I dislike the limitations of the methodology, which may exist for all shopper data. I've struggled with issues of labeling (mislabeling = not capturing the correct SKU) and the occasional non-categorizations of products by type, form, or flavor.

Numerator has the best coverage for the Convenience channel of any shopper panel out there. Coverage of large format channels like Walmart and Target is exceptional. Omnichannel views are getting better every day.

**What do you dislike about Numerator Insights?**

Ecomm and Click & Collect coverage is slim, but they are working to expand. I would like to see their panel size increase by another 25% to help increase coverage of smaller retailers and categories.

In my role, I must be an expert on the entire store, not just the category in which my company plays. The fact that I am able to study full store behaviors makes me a more effective consultant on shopper behavior both internally for my organization and when meeting with customers.

**What do you like best about Numerator Insights?**

I love that Numerator has a self-serve platform that provides me instant insights as I need them and is more comprehensive including a picture of total store as well as the entire omni shopping journey (online and in-store). This is something I am not able to get from other panel providers.

**What do you dislike about Numerator Insights?**

The only downsides I have with Numerator are minimal and include opportunities to improve coding of products as well as the functionality of the tool for output purposes (excel and trending).

Numerator is helping us keep tabs on what shoppers are doing today such as Covid-19, omni shopping, importance of certain channels and category groups. This is assisting with our future planning sessions and retailer conversations when it comes to thought leadership and category centric insights.

**What do you like best about Numerator Insights?**

What I love about this product is that it allows you to see what a shopper is doing across all the different retail avenues. Knowing where they are digitally and where they are migrating to is the key to understanding leakage. So far IRI and Nielsen can’t give the CPG community this kind of view.

**What do you dislike about Numerator Insights?**

It would be great if navigation was a little more user friendly.

Leakage to Amazon and other dot com to explain the entire picture of a shopper’s purchase path. Can explain leakage more clearly. Some of what we thought was happening was not, so it allowed us to stop having conversations about leakage that we confirmed wasn’t happening.

This application is great when you trying to see why a product is performing the way it is. You can pull up ads for different retailers and see how a certain category is being promoted. Maybe a product is low performing because another product is getting more ad space or a competitive store is consistently offering a better price. 

**What do you dislike about Numerator Insights?**

Ir can be hard to narrow in on fresy categories. When trying to search for bakery categories, it was always hard to narrow in on what I was looking for. Even though I see bakery in ads, sometimes numerator has trouble pulling that data.

Being able to visually show why a product is performing the way it is.

**What do you like best about Numerator Insights?**

Numerator data give us visibility to previous blind spots in the marketplace.  For the beauty business, as much as 75% of sales happen outside the scope of legacy Panel & POS providers so solving for this blind spot is critical for us to successfully compete.  The ease of use and simple structure of the Numerator tool allows for access to business critical insights by a broad range of users.

The current model for licenses is one significant challenge.  More licenses would allow for greater value from the rich data available.  For example the Shopper module has less licenses included vs. the Brand Module, yet the shopper module is applicable for a broader range of users vs. the Brand Module.  This seems backward and limits value for your customers.

1. Visibility to a much larger portion of the Beauty Competitive Marketplace, particularly for Beauty Specialty Stores (ULTA & Sephora), Amazon, & eComm purchasing,  Also visibility to many Private Label & Proprietary Brands that many retailers (Target, CVS) now don't release to legacy providers.  This visibility allows us to better plan strategically against real marketplace dynamics we couldn't see previously.
2. Data has been used to help us in negotiations by showing the strength of our brands/products in context of full marketplace. 
3. Data is driving us to monitor new metrics to track our performance like Share of Requirements, to ensure we consider the entire marketplace in our decision making & KPI's.

Numerator insights has been all to get us access to data we previously were not able to see, and because of the reporting structure, one report allows us to get granular very quickly.

It would be helpful to have more reports that export charts to PowerPoint.  Enhancement on the Trip Circuit report could make it much more powerful.

The tool is easy to use and you can save reports making it faster to get the data for other requests. I also like how they have a Help Center where you can better understand what the measures mean and how they are calculated.

Setting up people groups can be challenging to get the right insights if the panel is small.

Here are some examples: 
- Who is the shopper for a specific product?
- What is the demographics of the shopper?
- What are their shopping mission trips like? Express Lane, Pantry Stocking, etc. 
- What products do they purchase for their % of Trips?
- What is the Household Affinity of specific shoppers for products they buy?
- What is the shopper's HH penetration, purchase frequency, spend per trip, buy rate and average basket spend?

All these questions are relevant to everyday business problems.

**What do you like best about Numerator Insights?**

Where do I start? First, the report platform is slick and easy to use. The panel size is great. The reports are comprehensive. I have access to all product categories (not just the ones I compete in). And all retailers, including eCommerce. Time periods are updated continually, so fresh information all the time. The information is exported into Excel nicely and consistent with how it's viewed in the tool. And, the developers at Infoscout are consistently working on enhancements and deliver them seamlessly (announcing the enhancements) with call outs. The InfoScout webinars are very informative (telling the story nicely and then reviewing the reports and report steps).

**What do you dislike about Numerator Insights?**

The charts on the reports are great, and I wish I could export them (in addition to exporting the data in Excel).

**Recommendations to others considering Numerator Insights:**

If you don't currently use and have a need for shopper information, reach out to InfoScout for a demonstration. It is a great tool!

**What problems is Numerator Insights solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primary, helping me understand the shoppers of my brands. And helping me work with my retailer to understand what percentage of their shoppers they are closing (leakage tree). The benefits that I've realized that is unique to InfoScout is that in addition sharing traditional leakage metrics, I can then create shopper groups of the closers and non-closers to help them understand the shopper profiles of each group. I can also set up an Instant Survey to these groups to gain insight in barriers and opportunities.
