## About NMIS
NMIS an open-source core for fault, performance, and configuration management. A single SNMP/WMI poll collects both performance and fault data from each device, feeding a business-rules engine and automated baselining system that flags anomalies before they become outages. It's the metrics core of FirstWave's broader network observability stack, extended by commercial opModules (opCharts, opEvents, opConfig, opReports, opAddress, opFlow, opHA/opHA-MB).
