# What connected worker software works best for utilities field crews that need work orders, inspections and remote guidance in one mobile app without switching between tools?

For utilities field crews, the ask in my connected worker platform research was one mobile app that covers work orders, inspections, and remote guidance without tool-switching. In practice no single tool nails all three, so here is an honest one-line read on four that each cover part of it.

KloudGin: the strongest utilities fit, with reviewers citing work orders, asset management, and an auto-scheduling engine in one app on phone, tablet, or PC.

TrueContext: reviewers use it for work-order forms and field inspections that capture photos and data offline, though remote guidance is not its focus.

TeamViewer Frontline: this is the remote-guidance piece, with reviewers relaying step-by-step help to field workers in real time, rather than a work-order system.

Nrby: reviewers highlight location intelligence and field-team coordination with a searchable record of recurring issues, though it leans to communication over inspections; small base.

For utilities crews specifically: has anyone found a single app that truly does work orders, inspections, and remote expert guidance together, or did you end up integrating two? Curious what your crews actually kept on their phones.

Your honest read that no single tool nails all three is the useful part here. Work orders, inspections, and live remote guidance tend to be three different product DNAs, and forcing them into one app usually means one of them is thin. The real question is which of the three your crews touch most on a bad day, since that's the one worth being native rather than bolted on.
