Is NMI Gateway free, or does it offer a free trial?

No. According to G2 data, NMI Gateway does not offer a free plan or free trial. Users need to purchase a paid plan to access the product. Visit the seller's official pricing page for current pricing details and plan options.

Who is NMI Gateway pricing best suited for?

NMI Gateway's pricing is best suited for payment resellers, ISOs, and independent software vendors operating at the small business level, which represents the overwhelming majority of G2 reviewers. These users leverage NMI Gateway's multi-MID support, white-label capabilities, and processor-agnostic architecture to serve multiple merchants under one login. G2 reviews from financial services, banking, accounting, and computer software industries dominate, reflecting a reseller-heavy user base rather than direct merchants. Mid-market firms in financial services and transportation also appear in G2 reviews and benefit from NMI Gateway's enterprise-grade uptime and Level 3 data support. The a la carte pricing model suits resellers who need to customize feature sets per merchant.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of NMI Gateway?

NMI Gateway offers no free tier or publicly listed pricing tiers according to G2's pricing data for NMI Gateway. Access is granted through custom quotes. G2 reviewers consistently describe NMI Gateway's pricing structure as a la carte, meaning core gateway access is the baseline and additional capabilities such as fraud tools, Level 2/3 processing, network tokenization, ACH, mobile swipers, and security modules are priced separately. Multiple G2 reviewers flag that this add-on model, while flexible, can become expensive as merchants layer on features. Prospective buyers should budget beyond the base gateway cost when evaluating NMI Gateway's pricing for full-featured deployments.

Is NMI Gateway considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers broadly regard NMI Gateway as strong value, with multiple users citing competitive pricing relative to feature depth. Phrases like 'unbeatable value for the cost' and 'price for the quality of service is unbeatable' appear across G2 reviews. However, a recurring concern in NMI Gateway's pricing is its a la carte model: several G2 reviewers note that adding security features, fraud tools, and integrations individually drives costs up quickly. One G2 reviewer explicitly flags that security features feel like they should be included by default. Reviewers comparing NMI Gateway's pricing against Authorize.net and Cybersource generally favor NMI Gateway on cost, though price increases post-acquisition drew criticism.

"Efficient Payment Processing with Robust Features"
5/5
What do you like best about NMI Gateway?

I love the Virtual Terminal in NMI Gateway that allows merchants to key in transactions, issue refunds, run batch reports, and manage customer billing profiles. It's great to have the ability to log into one portal from anywhere, making payment processing easy and convenient. The power to run reports and stay on top of sales and business is a big plus. I also find the setup very simple, and the HELP tutorials make it easier to learn about additional products. The robust features and efficient pricing were key reasons for our transition to NMI Gateway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NMI Gateway?

Not having an ACH feature on their invoices is something that can greatly help our customers. If invoices could have two options, one for ACH and another for Credit Card Payments, it would give cardholders options and provide Merchants with various ways to accept payments. "Straightforward Setup with Integration Perks, But Lacking in Reporting"
4/5
What do you like best about NMI Gateway?

I like the ease of setting up merchants and the integrated e-check application in NMI Gateway. It's relatively simple to set up even though it took some time initially. I also appreciate the connections with QuickBooks and the better pricing compared to QuickBooks’ own payment processing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NMI Gateway?

The reporting is difficult to locate and can be difficult to understand with the CSV files. I could use something with more insights into my payment processing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
