## NIM Reviews
  ### 1. Outstanding Support and Seamless NIM Migration with Powerful Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amber E. | Network Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2026

**What do you like best about NIM?**

Tools4Ever has offered amazing support from the start. We had a large migration project to upgrade to NIMs, and the way it was handled was great! There was tracking for each area, and the people assigned to the project were incredibly knowledgeable. After the completion of the project, we were able to discuss what went well, what didn't, and our opinion on how it could be better. I really like how Tools4Ever is always looking to us clients to see how they can do things better in the future, allowing themselves to learn from mistakes and utilize constructive criticism. They also have a forum to request new features! Our setup is running smoothly, and we are always looking to NIM to see how it could help improve and automate current manual processes. They have plenty of documentation, and I learned a lot just by being the point person for the migration project. They equipped me to learn so I can create apps and processes on my own, but support is always ready to step in and help. As far as performance, it meets all our requirements since we control the configuration for how often a process runs. Feeding NIMs data from our HR data to then manipulate user accounts or send out to another vendor is seamless. Onboarding employees is pretty amazing with all the features available, perfect for any organization looking to simplify and modernize processes for efficiency and speed. I just learned about their newest AI chatbot, which is filled with all the documentation they have available for developing new automations and processes. I saw a sample and can't wait to use it to complete a few projects.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

I don't see any downsides to using NIMs.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NIMs has smoothed out our onboarding process. We have accounts created and given permissions in AD and email groups in Google. It has allowed a much more secure way to empower our users to take ownership of their new accounts and current users to reset passwords in a quick and secure way. We also recently added a report that is fed to NIMs from another system to consolidate work orders for our Facilities group so they can easily see and discuss completed work orders and what is still in progress or waiting to be scheduled.

  ### 2. Powerful Automation Tool That Saves Our IT Team Countless Hours

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about NIM?**

NIM has become an essential part of our day-to-day IT operations. It automates many of the repetitive and time-consuming tasks we handle through Active Directory, Exchange, and several other integrated systems. Tasks that would normally take hours — and sometimes even days — to complete manually are streamlined and completed by NIM, often within an hour or less.

One of the biggest advantages is the amount of time it saves our IT department. By automating routine administrative processes, our team can focus on higher-value projects and support instead of repetitive manual work. The return on investment has been significant simply based on the labor hours saved and the increased efficiency across the department.

Another standout aspect is the customer support. Whenever we’ve needed assistance or had questions, the support team has been responsive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Most responses come within a day, and they’ve consistently been helpful in resolving issues or guiding us through new features and configurations.

From a usability standpoint, the UI/UX is straightforward and easy to navigate. The platform makes complex automation tasks manageable without requiring excessive overhead or complicated workflows. The interface is organized well enough that day-to-day management feels efficient rather than cumbersome, which helps reduce onboarding time for staff using the system.

Overall, NIM has greatly improved operational efficiency, reduced turnaround times, minimized manual errors, and provided strong value for our organization through both automation and dependable support.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

Overall, we’ve had a very positive experience with NIM, though there are a few areas where it could be improved. The platform is extremely robust, which is a major advantage, but that same depth can create a learning curve for new administrators during initial setup and onboarding. Some of the more advanced workflows and configurations also take time to fully understand, fine-tune, and optimize.

Even so, these drawbacks are relatively minor compared to the value NIM delivers. Its automation capabilities, the time savings it enables, and the responsiveness of the support team more than make up for the initial complexity.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NIM addresses the challenge of managing repetitive, time-consuming, and error-prone IT administration tasks across multiple systems. Before implementing NIM, many of these processes required manual intervention in Active Directory, Exchange, security groups, application permissions, and other connected platforms. This increased the IT department’s workload and slowed turnaround times.

Today, we use NIM for day-to-day automation such as user provisioning, Active Directory account creation, AD group assignments, email and Exchange management, security access, and group mapping for permission-based applications. NIM also runs scheduled hourly and daily exports, which help keep other business-critical systems synchronized and automatically up to date.

The biggest benefit has been improved operational efficiency and consistency. Tasks that once took hours, or required coordination across multiple systems, are now automated and completed much faster with far less manual effort. As a result, we’ve reduced administrative overhead, minimized human error, improved onboarding and access management, and enabled our IT staff to focus on higher-priority initiatives rather than repetitive maintenance.

Overall, NIM has increased reliability, accelerated IT workflows, strengthened access management processes, and delivered measurable time savings across the department.

  ### 3. Great Onboarding Support, Smooth NIM Deployment, and a Clean, Responsive UI

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2026

**What do you like best about NIM?**

The support during the onboarding process was great. Integration and deployment of NIM was very well managed, tested, and tuned to our needs. The UI is very responsive, understandable, and clean. NIM will provide greater efficiencies, effectiveness and accuracy during the account creation process and management. We fully expect NIM to be a value-added investment to our systems.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

I haven't come across and issues thus far with NIM.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem NIM has solved is our human error issues. It has also improved our visibility into our accounts and exposed data quality issues that were previously only stumbled upon incidentally as we worked with our user accounts.

  ### 4. Flexible Override Flags with Easy Date-Based Expiration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew C. | Director of Technology/Systems Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 23, 2026

**What do you like best about NIM?**

I’d say the override flags are really useful, especially being able to choose exactly what to override. I also like that you can add a date to remove the override once it’s no longer needed.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

I would say there is nothing I dislike at this point.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Provisioning user accounts used to mean we had to create multiple accounts across different systems every time we onboarded a new user. Because of NIM my staff can work on other tasks and not have to deal with creating user accounts.

  ### 5. Lightning-Fast Account Changes and Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johnathan S. | Systems Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2026

**What do you like best about NIM?**

I like how fast account changes are processed. The support is also great.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

I don't really have any negative thoughts about the product. The only thing I can think of is it would be nice to make reading reports a little more user friendly.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Account automation, password resets, and security are essential for my work. Managing around 13,000 users would be impossible to handle manually, but with NIM, I am able to keep up with all the necessary changes.

  ### 6. A happy NIM customer!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 11, 2026

**What do you like best about NIM?**

Great support and implementation team made for a smooth transition

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

So far have had no issues and nothing to dislike

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Account automation with zero touch needed from IT staff

  ### 7. Seamless, Easy-to-Use NIM with Amazing Customer Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh K. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about NIM?**

There’s not one thing i don’t like about NIM, they have polished their products seamlessly and make it easy to use.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

Their products are top notch, with nothing to dislike. Customer service, follow up, and ease of use are amazing.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Passwords, plain and simple. Sends out reminders so users don’t get locked out. 10 day, 7 day, however you want it tailored, they have it there for you

  ### 8. Great product supported by a knowledgeable team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick S. | Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about NIM?**

It helps us fully automate our user account lifecycle for staff and student accounts.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

With any new product, there is quite a steep learning curve associated with it. As we use it more, we'll become better at making updates and adding automation processes to it.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

User account lifecycle management and user password resets

  ### 9. Easy, customizable automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brittany M. | Sr. Systems Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2025

**What do you like best about NIM?**

I love the visibility of NIM. I can easily see how the data is getting funneled through filters and roles, as well as track down errors that occur. We use it to automate many products with no issue. We also have custom tables that I frequently have to add values to for group memberships. It all works together well! If I do have an issue, support is just a ticket away. My issue is resolved quickly. We have added on to our system and adjusted the flow many times and support is always helpful.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

Honestly there isn't much I don't like about NIM. The setup was lengthy, but we have a very specific, customized setup so that was understandable. But now that the setup is complete, the system works great!

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a tiny team of 3 in a moderately large school district; about 30,000 accounts to maintain. NIM handles all of our automation for several different software products. We use NIM for user provisioning, group management, disabling users, deletion of accounts, etc. It does such a great job that I only check in on it about once a week. We have emails set up to notify us of the changes nightly in case there is an issue. It has safeties in place to prevent disastrous district wide changes from occurring. All of these features allow our team to focus on other issues that need to be handled. It saves us a lot of time.

  ### 10. Our school district uses NIM for all onboarding.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** DREW A. | IT Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2025

**What do you like best about NIM?**

NIM does a great job at onboarding new staff and students into our Microsoft and Google. We no longer need to go in and turn accounts on or off in multiple locations. NIM populates the proper Google Groups, gives needed permissions and sets up their entire account at creation.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

There really isn't much that we don't like about NIM. I guess I would say that there is a learning curve to set everything up. It can be complicated for someone that doesn't do the time to learn it.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NIM is allowing our staff to reset their password on their own, without the help of the IT Department. NIM also populates new accounts to the correct groups and permissions, as well as, removing them when the staff member is disabled.

  ### 11. Identity Automation System that Saves Many Hours

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew L. | IT Systems Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2025

**What do you like best about NIM?**

I like the flexibility and ease of creating filters to filter my users very granularly for mappings. Support is really good with NIM as well. I usually get a response with 24 hours to help me with any issues that I have.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

If I had to pick one thing I dislike, it would be the documentation. There are sections of the documentation that are lacking. With that being said, anything I cannot figure out, I work with support on.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NIM is saving me many hours of creating user accounts in our downstream systems. We get new students daily and staff monthly. By having NIM, provision accounts and govern access to security groups. I rarely have to manually do anything with accounts besides systems that require manual imports. I also use the Password reset and Onboarding modules with NIM and that also saves me time of having to help users reset their passwords as well as new users claiming their account and setting their password.

  ### 12. Network Administrator

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bill B. | Network Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2025

**What do you like best about NIM?**

It is very comprehensive automative program and it is able to preform many tasks to different systems. It has helped us directly and indirectly in automation of onboarding and offboarding profiles. It is a very solid and reliable system.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

It is a very complex system and there is a steep learning curb. But the service and support helps with that.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It help unified the IAM process with Microsoft Active Directory, clever, and Google Workspace. Overall, it has reduced dramatically of our workload in keeping up with the accounts and permission. It frees up our time to focus on other pressing matters.

  ### 13. NIM Deployment

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2025

**What do you like best about NIM?**

We have been customers since Tools4Ever and the transision to NIM was fairly smooth compared to other transitions we have done with other vendors products. NIM is a much more user friendly product to work with than the previous version of Tools4Ever. The navigation within NIM to make adjustments is much easier to figure out. The integration was fairly easy to get working with our setup as well.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

I think there is still alot going on within NIM but it has become more managable than Tools4Ever was where we could not really figure out how to make changes without calling support. I think it would a nice feature if there was a way to reach support within NIM in the future.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

NIM is being used to create new user accounts and disable users when they leave our district. This autmated system helps our small tech department not have to do this manually.

  ### 14. A great automation platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doug V. | Senior Network Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2024

**What do you like best about NIM?**

NIM is extremely modular, making it esay to add or modify components of my user management automation. I am able to connect to various data sources and essentially create an ad-hoc relational database to centrally manage my user accounts. This solution allows me to eliminate all of the various scripts and other mechanisms scattered accross my environment that I would otherwise require, not only simplifying user account management, but also giving me much clearer visibility on the entire process. Because NIM makes use of user-defined filters to define data subsets, then a mapping mechanism to define what data you want to write to that subset, it is possible to see what changes will happen without commiting them. The data write-back only happens during a scheduled sync cycle, meaning I don't have to worry about breaking my production environment.

Furthermore, the ability to create web apps for admin use as well as my end-users is extremely powerful - for example, I was able to create and deploy a delegated password-reset app for a subset of my users. I've also built some apps for use by our IT team, making it simple to manage access to systems and maintain least privilege.

The engineers from T4E are very good to work with, and did all of our migration and onboarding. We spent a few weeks working together to build the automation, and by the end of it we had a fully working solution. Since taking it over from their engineers, I've made many modifications and additions to the workflow, but I could also have had their engineers do this. Their support has been very prompt and efficient responding to tickets.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

The main downside of NIM is the steep learning curve. There is no way around it - you just have to spend time going through all of the various menus and blades, reverse-engineering the workflows created by the NIM engineers, until it all clicks. But that's nothing unique to NIM, and for a system that can do as much as this one does, the effort correlates well to the result.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Primarily, NIM is automating AD/Exchange account creation and management. It eliminates the need for multiple bespoke solutions (ex. Powershell scripting) to sync data between multiple databases. In our case, we have multiple sources of truth that write back to AD/Exchange accounts, and NIM provides a single management point for all of those databases. We've also been able to strip away AD access for the standard users who were previously given password reset rights at our schools, by using a NIM web app (which is both easier for the users and makes my security guy happier).

  ### 15. Independent from IT Administrator

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shagun S. | System Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2024

**What do you like best about NIM?**

We can reset password of our account by our selves. No need to create ticket or ask IT Administrators for password reset. We don't have to wait for this and slso we can set password according to our remembring power instead of Random password.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

Sometimes it is not taking the password which we gave even we have followed the policy.
Sometimes take more time in syncing new password else it is best because we can get password even more fast then to wait for the IT Admin to rest the password and share with us.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fast
No need to wait for IT Admin
Password reset according to our remembring power
And for IT Administrators there will be a less ticket count

  ### 16. Positive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2024

**What do you like best about NIM?**

It is more user friendly than previous program. Customer service is great and willing to help. Support helped setup our new system and made sure everything was running before we switched over.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

Right now I can not think of anything to dislike.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping to create user accounts and updating them automatically.

  ### 17. Satisfied Customer of the old UMRA system and now we are a Supremely Satisfied Customer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allen F. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2024

**What do you like best about NIM?**

Ease of future customization is the BIG item.
We previuosly relied on UMRA for new user credentials, we now use NIMS for that plus a lot more. We use NIMS to generate our own specialized extracts and even sftp these files from inside the NIMS platform.
We have end user staff who are able to pull needed data from the NIMS system on a protected web interface as well.
They tend to use this data on a daily basis to look up student passwords and such.
The NIMS web style of delivering data measn that I no longer have to post a daily file that has this information . We use to post it on a secure fileserver.
More finctionality and easier to use.
The implementation was easy since they did all the work for me.
The NIMS system is automatically running without intevention so it is easy to forget that it is there.
Whenever we do need help with a modification or tweak that I can't do myself, their customer support has always been very helpful and friendly.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

We had to get GADS or GAPS or whatever set back up since NIMS does not resend changed passwords to Google.
We use AD primary source.
We have not found any other issues yet that NIMS does not natively solve.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New user credentials
We use NIMS to generate our own specialized extracts.
Sftp these files from inside the NIMS platform.
Postring data to a select set of end users via a protected web interface.

  ### 18. Tools4ever Wins IDM with NIM for Pflugerville ISD

  ### 19. Great software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 15, 2024

**What do you like best about NIM?**

The best thing is the automation big data of processes with the information of students and staff.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

I don't know how to troubleshoot within NIM, I have to call to have the problem solved.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creation of student accounts in AD and Google accounts for staff.

  ### 20. IAM Experience has be great

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2019

**What do you like best about NIM?**

We have been using IAM for three years now and the product works as promised...efficiently and accurately. Our support person has been on the ball anytime we need assistance with something that might not be working correctly. This is so important when time is important.

**What do you dislike about NIM?**

Nothing! The program does everything we want it. Anytime with have an issue, Support is right there to assist in getting things corrected and back to normal. I can't imagine life without this product!

**Recommendations to others considering NIM:**

Make sure you include Tools4ever in your vendor vetting process. They need to be considered.

**What problems is NIM solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been all about automation for the past two years and having IAM in place to handle the account provisioning process has saved us a ton of time of not having to do so much manually. This has freed us up to do other things that also need us like right now.
