The automation around reconciliations and financial close tasks reduced a lot of manual work for the finance team. Previously, the client’s close cycle took about 25–30 days. With NetClose, we brought that down to around 15 days without adding pressure on the team. **What do you dislike about NetClose by Netgain?** The initial learning phase was a bit complicated for some team members who weren’t very familiar with NetSuite’s native app behavior. Implementation was very easy and quick. We started using it immediately and had no problems at all. It is easy to learn, easy to teach to others, and has lots of features we are using: tasks (for close, year end and audit), reconciliations, flux analysis, and amortizations. This has been a huge help to streamline things for us as a team and a company. Implementation ran smoothly and we were up in running on our targeting time (1-2 months). We easily implemented NetClose into our close process and house all of our reconcilitions with it. I primarly use it as a user, but also an administrator. As a user, I'm using it throughout the month to set up my month end checklist (40+ tasks) and track my monthly reconciliations. What I like best is the ease to drag and drop my reconciliation spreadsheets into NetClose. Then NetClose reconigses my account balances in my spreadsheet and cross references the Balance Sheet. As an administrator, there isn't too much to do other than general upkeep (add new tasks, map new accounts). Most of the implementation took care of that. Monthly, generating tasks lists and reconciliations is as easy as clicking a button! Lastly, if I get stumped, I can alway reach out to our account rep and get solutions. Definitely recommended! **What do you dislike about NetClose by Netgain?** When we started using NetClose, it was new to the market (less than a year old). We had some bumps, but I feel they made great strides on the visibility. To be honest, not much to dislike about it now. **What problems is NetClose by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problems/or biggest solution it gives us is a consolidated place to not only house our reconciliation files, but to show that we have completed all of reconciliation. Gives great visibility to our Controller on what has been completed or not completed. ### 13. Previously, we were using a manual checklist in Excel. We love being able to enter all of our monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks into NetClose, assign them to staff, and have it fully integrated into NetSuite. We can easily see everything that needs to be done and NetClose made it easy to reallocate tasks due to either workload or time off. We were able to cut down time off of our monthly close by shifting responsibilities using NetClose to optimize our staff's time. The team at Netgain is also great. We were up and running in less than 2 weeks and there was no disruption in our day-day work. Support is always reaching out to make sure the product is working well for us and asking for feedback on future enhancements. **What do you dislike about NetClose by Netgain?** We also use the reconciliation feature of NetClose, which we like.Our only compliant is that the reconciliation feature is solely at the account number position. It would be nice if the reconciliation feature could be drilled down to the department level. Hopefully that enhancement will come in the near future. Otherwise, we are very happy with NetClose. **What problems is NetClose by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having all of our tasks clearly defined, assigned to a staff and integrated into NetSuite. Also, we like the reconciliation feature because if one staff person reconciles an account and then another staff person makes an adjustment to that account, the original staff person is notified that their account is now out of balance and can resolve quickly. Previously, this would get noticed during the final review process and could cause delay and disruption to the month-end close. ### 15. We have a US subsidiary and an India subsidiary. Being able to see the progress being made half way around the world is so helpful. I also have to say that the NetClose implementation team was easy to work with and very helpful is getting us set up properly. **What do you dislike about NetClose by Netgain?** Because we have multiple subsidiaries, we have some general ledger accounts that are subsidiary specific. We have chosen to reconcile all active balance sheet accounts and the reconciliation feature lists all general ledger accounts for each subsidiary even if they are not used by a subsidiary, which makes the reconciliation list longer than it needs to be. It is not a big issue because when we run the auto-reconcile feature the unused accounts are automatically marked as done, but the first couple months that we used NetClose the reconciliation list felt a bit over-whelming. **What problems is NetClose by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** NetClose allows our whole accounting team to know where we are at in the close cycle. Also, by having reconciliations done and stored within NetClose (and therefore NetSuite) it is easier for us to make sure critical reconciliations are done and are up to the standards that our auditors will hold us to at year-end. This has been so helpful with our India team and US team having approximately an 11 hour time difference (it changes with daylight savings time). If we want to see where the other subsidiary is at with their reconciliations or have questions about account balances we can often get our answers without waiting for the other teams next work shift. We also use the amortization feature a lot. We have a lot of prepaid expenses and we set up the amortization schedule when we pay the bill and then NetClose does the journal entries each month so we know that everything is recorded correctly. ### 16. Managing prepaid expenses with the amortizations is a huge time saver for close and allows me to identify new prepaid expenses and process them so quickly. The reconciliation tool also alerts me to balance changes if something is booked before things are closed down so I know to go in and tweak things. I couldn't be more happy with this tool. **What do you dislike about NetClose by Netgain?** There is a learning curve of using the tool but its more about how NetSuite operates and requires things to be done than anything specific about NetClose itself. **What problems is NetClose by Netgain solving and how is that benefiting you?** Speeding up month end close by sitting inside NetSuite itself is a huge win. My company has implemented three of their products: NetAssets, NetLease, and NetClose. We had a great experience working with Tyler, the senior implementation consultant assigned to us, and some of the other team members. They are quick to respond, very knowledgeable, and always willing to figure out a tailored solution to fit the specific needs of the company. We use Net Close for amortizations, reconciliations, and keeping track of close tasks. All the functions are straightforward and easy to use. We are still working on getting all team members to use the reconciliations, but we have used the other two functions for over half a year and are very happy with the products. The fact that it is fully integrated into NetSuite helps tremendously, we have access to theor knowledge base, and the helpdesk is very responsive as well. Overall, I am very happy with NetClose and NetGain in general.
