The fully integrated HCM dashboard is its biggest win for our lean HR team. Beforehand, we hopped between payroll software, spreadsheets and separate file storage, which ate up multiple hours weekly. Employees handle payslip downloads, PTO submissions and benefit updates via the self-service module independently, slashing repetitive trivial tickets that used to clog my inbox. This platform is clearly built around US employment standards with zero native configuration sets for GDPR, Arbeitszeitgesetz or Betriebsverfassungsgesetz. Every workflow from onboarding to payroll calculations needs manual rework to align with German rules. Connecting it to our European talent management tool isn’t supported natively, so we rely on error-prone CSV exports and imports to sync candidate and staff data. Custom compliance reporting templates are rigid, and migrating our historical employee records initially ran into consistent formatting bugs that slowed launch. Customer service is extremely friendly and helpful. You are rarely on hold for very long, if at all. And they never make me feel dumb when I present a simple or repeat question. We had trouble getting our taxes set up properly from the beginning. We had been with the same payroll provider for years so we didn't know how specific to be during implementation. The accrual/attendance should be easier for employees to understand. There are options being seen by the employees to choose as a day off like 'vacation' or 'personal' when we don't use that; we only use 'PTO' and 'Unpaid time.'
