The image upscaler, despite being good, still needs some improvement to perfect the result. Sometimes it slightly distorts the lines of the image (whether it's anime or animated series), sometimes the characters' smiles are missing a tooth or their expressions look somewhat shaky. The Nero AI Upscale tool is excellent for improving the quality of images of any size, especially illustrations used for wallpapers and Windows themes. It offers many options for definition and finishes. I have tested it with very small images (e.g., <640x480) and they become Full HD wallpapers of surprising quality.

So far, I have tested with photographic and standard definition, and with x2 and x4 scales, and everything works perfectly. In very few cases, some small images (size <400x300) do not look good, but I don't think it's a problem with the Nero tool.

I also like the "noise remover" tool, which smooths images without ruining the details or overly confusing the techniques of certain painting styles like "noise" or "scratches." It is especially useful for enlarging scanned images of real paintings, whether oil or acrylic, pastel, watercolors, etc. Some of the images I have enlarged are quite old (about 30 years), but they still retain very good quality.
