Photoshop Elements is my favorite because it strikes a great balance between powerful AI tool like smart object removal, generative fill, and auto photo restoration that make complex edits feel surprisingly easy, and the super helpful Guided mode that walks beginners through pro-level results step by step. I also appreciate that it delivers those results without the overwhelming complexity or subscription cost of the full Photoshop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike most about Photoshop Elements is the move to a limited 3-year license instead of the old perpetual one. Once that period ends, the software stops working unless you pay for another version, which to me feels like a sneaky push toward subscription-style pressure without the full benefits of a true subscription.
On top of that, it’s missing several advanced, pro-level features that are available in full Photoshop. For example, it doesn’t offer the same level of detailed lens corrections, chromatic aberration fixes, or more robust 16-bit support. Smart objects also aren’t supported in their full capacity, and the raw processing options are more limited and less complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
