Nerdio gives a UI/dashboard to Azur Virtual Desktop creation and management. Add that with their ability to auto-scale at all kinds of custom events, and Nerdio not only pays for itself, but leaves plenty of revenue for your team! Using Nerdio manager you can quickly setup an autoscale that will meet the needs of your organization, so far that portion is rich full of settings, for how ever it's needed. Not to mention it has the ability to quickly spin up new VMs whenever needed without your input. Creating images is a dream, and now with the integration with Scripted Actions (powershell) and Unified Catalog (private and public Winget), it's like having SCCM for your AVD machines. It's also a life saver as you can delegate using RBAC roles to desktop support, customer service, and even individual users, so something simple as reboot my VM is available to them without your input. Their team of engineers are amazing as listening to your needs and fixing issues fast. We were able to get Nerdio up and running in one day and started using it. It similarly manages deployment and images for Windows 365, making the setup and maintenance of accounts very easy. **What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?** I do not like that the Nerdio Manager runs in our own Azure tenant as an application. We specifically like the monthly session host refresh we can do with the automated tasks in Nerdio as well as the Auto Scaling feature helping us to make sure our AVD environment is always available. Everything is easy to setup and configure from the get go. Anyone who uses Azure Virtual Desktop will know that its very cool, but also has limited native functionality. Yes you can dig into JSON and the Azure API if you wish, but even then there are limited options available to the Admin. Nerdio brings easy automation, such as the ability to automate your monhly imaging process or deploying line-of-business software to specific Host Pools. The advanced auto-scale features allow you to save money on your Azure compute costs as allows Nerdio to literally pay for itself. its a no-brainer. Nerdios API allows the more intrepid Admin to get creative with yet more automation, Why not use Power Automate with Microsoft Forms for example to bring automation to many features, like Host Pool creation for example. Its all possible. The guys at Nerdio are really responsive, helpful and willing to action changes if you can convine them that your idea is a good one! **What do you dislike about Nerdio Manager?** I'll have to think on this one! We get several warnings of resources receiving timeouts when nerdio attempts to contact Azure. The ease of implementation and low overhead for management once it is up and running is awesome. We can use existing processes that we currently in computer imaging and mirror them for AVD provisioning.
