It addresses the part of the job that consumes the most hours and returns the least: deciding which frames from a shoot are worth keeping. For photographers shooting 2,000 to 4,000 images per event, the selection pass often takes longer than the shoot itself. Narrative removes the mechanical parts of that pass, the zooming to check focus, the frame-by-frame comparison of near-duplicates, the search for the one group shot where nobody blinked. It returns an ordered, assessed shoot the photographer can move through quickly, then ships the selects to Lightroom, Photoshop, or Capture One in one click. The distinction that defines the product is that Narrative does not make the selection. It sorts, ranks, and explains, then leaves the call to the photographer, which is what separates it from fully automated tools where selections arrive already made. Plans run from $10 to $60 per month on flat pricing with unlimited images and projects, so cost does not scale with shooting volume, and every tier starts with a free Ultra trial that requires no credit card. ## Narrative Pros & Cons Pros and Cons are compiled from review feedback and grouped into themes to provide an easy-to-understand summary of user reviews. **What users like:** - Users commend the **responsive customer support** of Narrative for efficient and helpful account issue resolution. Month ago I accidentally created a second Narrative account (totally my fault) and was paying for the premium monthly and on the other account yearly. After realizing this I messaged Narrative, they messaged back, (immediately), helped me 'condense' the accounts AND refunded the months I had double paid. This was 100% my fault for having to many emails and forgetting my password lol but Ashton was so helpful. **What do you dislike about Narrative?** Really nothing I have run into while using it for a full time job for about a year. **What problems is Narrative solving and how is that benefiting you?** Takes hours of my workflow time. - [View Narrative pricing details and edition comparison](https://www.g2.com/products/narrativeapp/reviews?section=pricing&secure%5Bexpires_at%5D=2026-10-01+21%3A14%3A30+-0500&secure%5Bsession_id%5D=d1de1c32-c79a-469f-83b2-1e3a6c1ba441&secure%5Btoken%5D=47dea6845d15d9a07ff93e322a1af12ae9efede12acd66a75fe676c356d324aa&format=llm_user) ## Narrative Features **Generative AI** - AI Text-to-Image - AI Text-to-3D - Photos/Images - Generative AI **Agentic AI - Photo Editing** - Cross-system Integration **Additional Functionality** - File Conversion - Image Editing - Real Time Editing - Social Sharing - File Management - Animations & Transitions - Watermarking - User Management - Presentation Tools - AI Copilot - File Sharing - Multiple Output Formats - File Storage - Customizable Templates - Task Management - Image Library - Collaboration Tools - Batch Processing - Project Management - API - Content Sharing - Content Import/Export - Drag & Drop - Pre-built Templates - Preview Functionality - Search/Filter - Image Protection - Media Management - Alerts/Notifications - Activity Dashboard ## Top Narrative Alternatives - [Adobe Photoshop](https://www.g2.com/products/adobe-photoshop/reviews) - 4.6/5.0 (13,102 reviews) - [Canva](https://www.g2.com/products/canva/reviews) - 4.7/5.0 (6,511 reviews) - [Simplified](https://www.g2.com/products/simplified/reviews) - 4.6/5.0 (4,447 reviews)
