What do you like best about Movebot?

I found the product quite intuitive, I did have a few questions and reached out to their support where I was pleasantly surprised to get a response from a real person who was more than happy to jump on a call and help me out. He showed me the product, helped me with my migration and answered a few questions I had. 10/10

The pricing is also very fair and transparent.

What do you dislike about Movebot?

Historically, moving data from one SharePoint instance to another has been a headache. Microsoft’s native tools—such as the SharePoint Migration Tool and Migration Manager—have limitations. They excel at migrating data into SharePoint Online, but fall short when it comes to SharePoint-to-SharePoint migrations. Manually moving files between SharePoint? A massive challenge. What do you like best about Movebot?

Its soooo easy to set up and works better then other tools is tested. And it automatically converted files without any problems. So good! And price is cheap. If i had to download and convert the files for myself this would have been taken years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best solution for data migration when switching eco-systems"

What do you like best about Movebot?

It works. The interface is smooth and easy to learn and understand. Better yet, an engineer walks you through your first setup and makes sure that whatever you are trying to do (migrate a large sum of files from Dropbox to Google Drive) is set up correctly. This comes with the knowledge of not just the tool, but the nuances that make working with two different platforms and their respective limitations. An example of this was the engineer knowing that Google has a limit on file size, so they offered a workaround instead of having me try it out, let it fail, get frustrated, and then try again. They turned a stressful situation into a non-stress thanks to their technical proficiency and ability to talk to me as a customer/client to meet my needs. Can't speak highly enough of this company. What do you dislike about Movebot?

What problems is Movebot solving and how is that benefiting you?

Movebot allowed us to fully leave Dropbox behind by migrating our company files to a Google Drive user/account we created. The tool gave us a very simple, visual overview of what would need to happen from SOURCE to DESTINATION and had many options for testing the transfer before initiating a full migration. What do you like best about Movebot?

I really like the data insights you can gain from the tool even without running a migration, capturing number of files, size of files, etc can be challenging for example on Google Drive, but Movebot can break it all down for you as a step in the migration process Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface could use a little polish, there are a couple of settings/checkboxes that are a little counter-intuitive but nothing I wasn't able to figure out quickly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Movebot solving and how is that benefiting you?

Migrating to and from more platforms than just Sharepoint. Sharepoint is not the right solution for a lot of companies, and yet most tools seem to be designed for Sharepoint migrations. Having Movebot allows me to get creative and migrate the data to the best platform for the customer, rather than just sticking their data in the wrong solution. "Works like a charm - easy to setup, yet can handle complex scenarios"

What do you like best about Movebot?

We (Cloudoffice.bg - GCP and Workspace reseller) use Movebot to migrate data into Workspace on behalf of our clients - typically on-prem to Workspace or Workspace to Workspace.

The data we move ranges from 50-500+ GB and Movebot made it easy.

The setup takes 5-10 minutes when you know the parameters of the migration and then you just start the migration.

The tool can handle transfers at great speeds (e.g. we've transferred 80 GB from 40 users, Workspace to Workspace, in 2 hours including permission remapping). In comparison, the setup of some of the other data migration tools would take more time.

Movebot also has comprehensive reporting that removes the guessing about what happened during the migration.

What do you like best about Movebot?

Needed to move 24TB of data from Azure Files to Dropbox with the ability to pull delta's as the data was in use during the migration.

- Google Drive -> Google Drive results in compare with CLoudM

- creates service account on behalf you in seconds

- insight into MyDrive of each migrated user to check what will be mgirated and why something wasn't migrated

What problems is Movebot solving and how is that benefiting you?

When doing CloudM migration of Google's MyDrive to another MyDrive ( Google to Googel migration) CLoudM solves an issue of different owners of fiels inside folder weirdly and for end user unexpectly. Movebot isntead of that simply change the owner of all fiels in Shared folder to folder owner and share it with previous owner. SImple but easy to udnerstand for end users. What do you like best about Movebot?

I was pretty overwhelmed by all the robust options; I'm not really a tech person and was pretty daunted by the API settings needed for my advanced transfer, but the customer service folks were top notch! Super accessible, clearly walked me through the setup, and instantly understood what I needed and was trying to accomplish. Now I run my transfers with just a few clicks and it works great! What do you dislike about Movebot?

At first I was disappointed that it's so complex and robust in its options and features. It wasn't that intuitive for a non-tech person to get started. Fortunately that isn't a concern since there is really easy tech support to get me up and running and after I got walked through it, it's a breeze to run new batches now ! What problems is Movebot solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had a legacy file storage system through dropbox that put organization files tied to user accounts with mystifying permissions settings going back over a decade. We set up a share drive system through google to build transparency and accessibility into our document management, and to facilitate collaboration. The time and resources required for 12 staff to move and organize the files in their respective user accounts was daunting. Movebot put the power in the hands of a single administrator to migrate user accounts in bulk into the new share drive system. All the culling and organizing can then happen collectively in the new shared environment without wasting staff time on the migration process, or encumbering our office computers with the bandwidth and processing resources.
