He showed me the product, helped me with my migration and answered a few questions I had. 10/10 The pricing is also very fair and transparent. I used it for both an email migration and data migration, both worked very well. I also found the connection process nice and simple. **What do you dislike about Movebot?** Nothing really, the only thing I would change perhaps is to add some tooltips on a few of the buttons in the interface, but not a big deal. **What problems is Movebot solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows me to spend less time dealing with a migration. And it automatically converted files without any problems. So good! And price is cheap. If i had to download and convert the files for myself this would have been taken years. **What do you dislike about Movebot?** Cant find anyone. First connection to google didnt worked well, but i made a error and entered the wrong login credentials. So no mistakes found, everthing worked really well. **What problems is Movebot solving and how is that benefiting you?** Hm, i have the problem that there where no tools for dropbox business and google business. The migration from one cloud to another without loosing much time seemed for myself impossible. I googled and googled but nothing helped. ### 6. The interface is smooth and easy to learn and understand. Better yet, an engineer walks you through your first setup and makes sure that whatever you are trying to do (migrate a large sum of files from Dropbox to Google Drive) is set up correctly. This comes with the knowledge of not just the tool, but the nuances that make working with two different platforms and their respective limitations. An example of this was the engineer knowing that Google has a limit on file size, so they offered a workaround instead of having me try it out, let it fail, get frustrated, and then try again. They turned a stressful situation into a non-stress thanks to their technical proficiency and ability to talk to me as a customer/client to meet my needs. Can't speak highly enough of this company. **What do you dislike about Movebot?** Nothing. They're awesome. I'm just trying to hit the word minimum that G2 crowd requires of me. **What problems is Movebot solving and how is that benefiting you?** Movebot allowed us to fully leave Dropbox behind by migrating our company files to a Google Drive user/account we created. The tool gave us a very simple, visual overview of what would need to happen from SOURCE to DESTINATION and had many options for testing the transfer before initiating a full migration. The ability to delta migrations and increments also was key. ### 7. Sharepoint is not the right solution for a lot of companies, and yet most tools seem to be designed for Sharepoint migrations. Having Movebot allows me to get creative and migrate the data to the best platform for the customer, rather than just sticking their data in the wrong solution. ### 8. The data we move ranges from 50-500+ GB and Movebot made it easy. The setup takes 5-10 minutes when you know the parameters of the migration and then you just start the migration. The tool can handle transfers at great speeds (e.g. we've transferred 80 GB from 40 users, Workspace to Workspace, in 2 hours including permission remapping). In comparison, the setup of some of the other data migration tools would take more time. Movebot also has comprehensive reporting that removes the guessing about what happened during the migration. And last but not least - the Movebot team is always there to help. **What do you dislike about Movebot?** Nothing. Movebot is doing exactly what it should do. **What problems is Movebot solving and how is that benefiting you?** Moving data from one location to another without breaking the files or losing the permissions is quite hard. Movebot automates the migration and this is impossible without a specialized tool like Movebot. ### 9. Movebot isntead of that simply change the owner of all fiels in Shared folder to folder owner and share it with previous owner. SImple but easy to udnerstand for end users. ### 11. Awesome! Super accessible, clearly walked me through the setup, and instantly understood what I needed and was trying to accomplish. Now I run my transfers with just a few clicks and it works great! The customer service and responsiveness is really what made this powerful tool worth it for my team. **What do you dislike about Movebot?** At first I was disappointed that it's so complex and robust in its options and features. It wasn't that intuitive for a non-tech person to get started. Fortunately that isn't a concern since there is really easy tech support to get me up and running and after I got walked through it, it's a breeze to run new batches now ! **What problems is Movebot solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had a legacy file storage system through dropbox that put organization files tied to user accounts with mystifying permissions settings going back over a decade. We set up a share drive system through google to build transparency and accessibility into our document management, and to facilitate collaboration. The time and resources required for 12 staff to move and organize the files in their respective user accounts was daunting. Movebot put the power in the hands of a single administrator to migrate user accounts in bulk into the new share drive system. All the culling and organizing can then happen collectively in the new shared environment without wasting staff time on the migration process, or encumbering our office computers with the bandwidth and processing resources. ### 12. The list goes on. Movebot made these questions disappear in a few clicks. My first projects were challenging moves, I had attempted the moves on other tools and quite honestly, they were a disaster, when I moved them into Movebot it was set up and ready to roll in 30-40 minutes. The project itself took 5 hours to complete fully with 800GB+ moved from dropbox to google workspace and 0 (yes ZERO) errors. This, in comparison with the previous tool, took 16 DAYS to complete with over 8500+ errors. I can't score this tool highly enough. The tool is not the only part of the journey, the team at Movebot are and have been a pleasure to deal with from minute 1. They are fair, responsive, knowledgable and best of all, friendly and enthusiastic about their product and the space they operate in. **What do you dislike about Movebot?** I haven't found anything that I dislike with this tool. **What problems is Movebot solving and how is that benefiting you?** Movebot solves the problem of data transfer, it is as simple as that. The benefit of using them is peace of mind, both from a technical point of view and from a support aspect. I don't see why I would consider moving to another tool for these kinds of projects now. ### 13. It also requires multiple accounts to avoid performance caps **What problems is Movebot solving and how is that benefiting you?** Egnyte at this point in time could not handle a migration from ShareFile with their own tools and requires a 3rd party platform. **Official Response from Colin Hogg:** > Hi Guys, It was great to be able to help you out get multiple TB between ShareFie and Egnyte in a timley manner. When there have been issues, the support team has been helpful and fast. The price structure is simple and based on total data migrated. **What do you dislike about Movebot?** The total data migrated determines the price. This is both a pro and a con. In more extensive migrations, there are times when the source data changes after a first pass, and we have needed to re-run passes to bring everything into the destination. This has not been a significant problem, but I could foresee an issue moving larger data sets a second time. **What problems is Movebot solving and how is that benefiting you?** Previously we had been unable to move data into Google Shared/Team Drives easily. We also did not have a way to move data between other cloud services. We have used Movebot to migrate from Dropbox to OneDrive, from Dropbox to Google, and from local servers to Google. ### 16.
