**What do you like best about Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform?**

I like being able to individualize messages and the mass messaging. There are several features that are great, particularly out-of-office auto-replies, smart messages and scheduled messaging. The motivating notes to keep your inbox clean (aka empty) is very cute and fun. It's fairly easy to use and I don't recall ever needing to reach out for customer support because it's fairly self-explanatory and where it isn't they have videos explaining how to use certain functions.

**What do you dislike about Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform?**

Something I dislike is when a prospective student tries calling the number that's set for my personal texting line, it doesn't distinguish the call coming into my cell is from/for the Mongoose number. As well as when I return any missed calls from Mongoose, it's coming from my personal cell number, not my personal Mongoose number. Which probably isn't a Mongoose issue, might be a carrier issue, but it would be nice to have a calling feature within the mobile app. (Unsure if the above has been addressed.)
It's a bit inconvenient to have to remove certain people from a team temporarily while sending out a mass text from within a team-shared number, so being able to temporarily mute their notifications rather than removing them from the team would be a nice feature they could improve.

**What problems is Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They already resolved smart messaging and that's been amazing at saving time on response time. Takes out a good chunk of reading messages that are simple responses of "yes/no/ok" etc. They provide improved methods for analytics so we can continue improving our message timing and who we send messages to.

**What do you like best about Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform?**

I really appreciate the Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform for its intuitive dashboard, which significantly aids in organizing and managing my student interactions. This feature allows me to effortlessly create campaigns and group students together, making my communication more efficient. I also love how it simplifies the process of reaching out to multiple students simultaneously; I can send one message that is distributed individually, ensuring privacy and direct interactions without any mass replies. Additionally, I am impressed by how the platform facilitates tracking responses, providing insights into how many students are engaging and the percentage of responses received. Furthermore, the initial setup was very user-friendly, which saved me a lot of time and hassle.

**What do you dislike about Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform?**

I find it challenging to upload or create student profiles within the Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform if it doesn't sync or integrate seamlessly with our internal systems. This lack of integration makes the process more cumbersome and would work better for me if improved.

I really find Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform’s feature of smart messages particularly beneficial. This functionality enables me to tailor communications effectively by selecting responders based on their replies, which significantly enhances our communication strategy with large segments of our funnel. The platform simplifies and streamlines the process of contacting a wide audience, making it incredibly efficient for my tasks. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, which saved me a lot of time and effort. This ease of use and efficiency is why I would highly recommend Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform to colleagues.

I don't like the limited integration options with Recruit, which restricts how seamlessly I can use Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform alongside other tools vital to our operations.

Mongoose has been one of the most valuable tools for us and how we communicate with those we support. My staff uses it daily to improve our outreach. Features such as smart messages, polling questions, and segment creation have streamlined our efforts. Additionally, the Mongoose team offers a lot of support for the platform and they are easy to connect with.

I don't really know if there is a downside that we've seen in the years we've used it.The platform is pretty easy to use, once you understand the platform.

The use of Mongoose has helped us stay ahead of the ever-changing communication styles of our students. We sometimes find it difficult to get the proper communication out to them. But Mongoose has helped us continue to implement newer strategies to stay connected.

I like the clean, smooth interface, the tutorials, and the easy features. I have been using this to text my university students and it is a much more effective method of reaching them (and getting replies) than email.

It would be nice if the platform integrated more easily with our systems we use for the university. We use something called Banner, and it would be nice to be able to plug in university ID #s.

Cadence is helping our university reach students much more easily and quickly, and getting more responses from them. For example, this helps us do outreach more effectively for students who have not registered for classes next semester yet, to figure out what's going on or to encourage them to sign up.

Super helpful to be able to reach students in a way that they prefer. Easy for quick questions and piquing interest. The website is great for tracking message send and response rate.

The app does not show messages you have sent unless the recipient responds to the message. However, you can reference sent messages on the website. It also has a slow integration into Slate at times.

Mongoose helps solve the lack of engagement/response issue we sometimes encounter with students. It is another point of contact for prospective students that feels personal to them.

I love the ability to save and use templates and use fields to personalize messages for a group. The segment feature is also helpful for sending large messages. The app and email notifications are great to stay on top of incoming messages so I can respond quickly wherever I am.

**What do you dislike about Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform?**

I don't always know why messages are archived and dislike looking for messages in multiple boxes: Inbox, Sent, and Archived. I would love the compose button would pull previous communications with a student. Instead, I search for someone and if there are none, I need to compose separately.

**What problems is Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mongoose Cadence helps me to connect with my students quickly, assisting me with timely, attentive, and very convenient interactions. I am able to complete my job faster and more efficiently as a result. I especially love that our texts are imported into our Student Information System so I don't have to manually enter them!

Probably the most helpful thing about Mongoose Cadence is the ease of use because it is so well designed.  The training tools are fantastic making it quick to learn and easy to teach others.

**What do you dislike about Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform?**

The only "downside" might be that texting for fundraising engagement (as I use if for) is a RAPIDLY evolving space. Keeping up with the best practices, rules, and limitations can be tricky. Thankfully the Mongoose team has been a great partner working through them.

Mongoose helps us do broad engagement through a new channel we had limited experience with. It has great integration with our main calling software platform. That allows us to be more efficient with our outreach, as well as more creative.  It's opened up the ability to contact some folks that have ignored our calls for years but are open to a quick text engagement.

Data and responses are easy to track. I like seeing the whole team in one platform. This helps me decide what students have ongoing correspondence. This is the only platform of this type that I have expereince with.

I have not received any complaints about the texting system from any of my team members and have 18 mentors. They are efficiently communicating in a quick fashion on the platform.

Mongoose Cadence assist me in tracking at a quick glance and I think tha the easy-to-read tabs for sorting the conversations makes my job easier. This is my personal opinion.

Cadence is very easy to learn and use. My staff loves the interface and how similar it is to their email. Communicating with students is easy, and they are always adding new features.

Updating data can be a challenge. Student individual fields can only be updated by uploading the new data, but it would be far more convenient at times to be able to change the data within the Cadence interface.

There is a high degree of variability in how students use and check their email. Cadence has significantly increased our ability to reach students and reach them in a timely manner. Being able to remind students of appointments and events has increased attendance, and the overall responsiveness from students is much higher on Cadence than in email.

It is extremely easy for my admissions staff to login and use the texting portal to directly communicate with our students. Every user that I have added has been able to seemlessly use the Mongoose Cadence platform. I never have to worry about training a new user.

For me as the site administrator, it took a bit of training to learn how to load lists and set up segments, but that was mainly because I had never used software like Mongoose. But once I took a little time and had a call with my fantastic rep, she was able to show me one time how to use the platform and I really have had very little need to get assistance now that we are using Mongoose on a near daily basis.

Our students were not reading emails, and there are times when we need them to get an important message or prompt them to complete the next step in admissions or registration. A quick text has been the answer to getting our students to respond quicker and better.

The site is intuitive and the outcomes are impactful. I find the site to be extremely easy to use, and each text we send makes a big impact on our alumnae. Also, our customer service rep, Zach, is very accessible. He is willing to help with any of our questions and he is super easy to get in touch with.

**What do you dislike about Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform?**

The number of emails that we receive when our alumnae respond can be overwhelming. I would prefer to have a recap email instead. Also, if we could get periodic emails about our statistics that would be so great!

**What problems is Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mongoose is helping us connect with our alumnae as a whole and our alumnae volunteers on a very personal level. They have helped us go from 15 registrants on a Zoom to over 75. The product has helped us have meaningful connections and conversations with our alumnae in surprising ways. We can't wait to try out the automatic response/RSVP feature for our events this winter.

**What do you like best about Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform?**

The most helpful part of using mongoose is how user-friendly it is.  It requires very little training for users to to understand it and use it effectively.  For any training that is needed, ample support is available through their help system, which has plenty of step by step articles and videos to assist you. Our mongoose representative is always available to help us with questions we aren't able to get answered through their helpful, automated chat feature.

**What do you dislike about Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform?**

In a few words, there are very few downsides; however, the one aspect that I would like to see improved is the ability for institutional admins to manipulate the data within Mongoose a little more.  Granted, I monitor all data-related operations and Mongoose keeps a strong handle on certain features of its product so that they can maintain proper functionality.  While it's an area I would like more control over, the Mongoose team is always able to address any changes I need within a 24-hour period, most times.

Effective and timely communication!  Many studies suggest that text messaging is the preferred way for students to communicate through their enrollment process.  Mongoose provides us with the ability to communicate promptly with students/ families individually or in small to large groups with ease.  Best of all, it's incredibly cost-effective!

Cadence has been wonderful to work with from the very beginning. They're kind, witty, and quick to help. 

Out of all of our vendors, they're THE BEST at customer service and satisfaction. You can tell client satisfaction is at the forefront of each interaction!  For issues ranging from software integrations to best practices for higher ed comm, Cadence will walk with you.  Wouldn't trade this software for anything else! We recommend Cadence every chance we get.

**What do you dislike about Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform?**

There are a few edits I'd make to the interface, but they're nitpicky at best. I would LOVE it if we could "assign" templates and segments to specific users. It's sometimes cumbersome for them to see allllll the options when we have a growing number users. I think it would clean up the program a bit! I'd also love the ability to search within the templates.

**What problems is Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cadence significantly increased our ability to communicate with prospective students across multiple platforms. The software allows our team to send texts en masse on the fly, track the success of calls to action, live chat with prospective students (in the same interface as texting!) and more. Being able to communicate quickly with prospective students is integral to our success as a team, and Cadence delivers! Even our least tech-friendly team member can use this with ease!

Being able to text multiple students without creating a group text is amazing. Creating segments is incredibly helpful as well, and for some of my colleagues, the scheduling option is great.

**What do you dislike about Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform?**

The mobile app has no way to add tags and it doesn't give you an option to filter just your own students. The product would be much better if the mobile app could do this. Also, I don't like the shared inbox at all, I worry about FERPA violations and violating a student's trust.

I am unaware of any problems they are working on, and I don't know where I would find this information. I would love to see improvements to the mobile app, and more options for auto-responses though.

I don't think there is anything I can say that I dislike about this tool itself.  I am not a massive fan of the chatbot, Otto, which is used to assist a user when searching the knowledge base, but that is about it.

Working in the higher education space, Cadence is allowing our institution a modern way to interact with our students.  Most people know that students don't often check their email; cadence enables us to simultaneously reach hundreds of our students. We like the ability to add different teams to Mongoose Cadence. This gives us the options to reach prospects in the Admissions team and current students in the academic teams. Smart messages allow AI features to help in responding to simple messages. We can schedule important event reminders ahead of time and don't have to worry about making sure someone is at the computer all the time.

I wish there were more options for import/exporting of data. We use all times available and still seem to need more.  There have been departments who have asked for the ability to send a message before the 6 AM scheduling time, for clinical purposes.

The platform is intuitive and simple, yet has all the features we need to be successful. New user onboarding is straightforward, and the provided training is more than enough to make a new user proficient without significant intervention from our staff. The team at Mongoose Cadence has been highly responsive when issues have arisen and when we've had requests about new features that would be valuable to us. To that note- we have not had any issues, downtime/data or otherwise in over 2 years. Not a single instance of the software not working exactly as expected. We also have not submitted any feature requests in over a year since we're completely satisfied with what has been delivered.

**What do you dislike about Mongoose Conversation Intelligence Platform?**

Our institution chose not to create any integrations with the data source that feeds Cadence. The team at Mongoose offered to help us with one, but we elected to go with manual uploads. That works okay for us, but we could be making better use of the features within Cadence- Criteria Based Segments combined with Scheduled Messages is an amazing combo, but it requires accurate data within Cadence.

Our customers are young and do not read emails. We needed a method to communicate with them that we knew they would see. Young people also seem more likely to engage with a text than an email so we've been able to open lines of communication that have proven to last over prolonged periods.

It is easy to find the person you want to text and send a message. You can attach images easily. I love scheduling messages to send as this allows me to prep messages for the upcoming weekend for things like birthdays for the whole month! It is nice to be able to copy and paste text from the conversation as needed. I like that the messages are automatically attached to my notes, making my job easier.

We use it as a team, and I dislike that we cannot get notifications for us individually.  I have to check it often for messages because of this non-feature.  I also don't like that we cannot "like" a message sent to us like we would in regular texting/messaging.  Some messages don't have a response other than a "like," but something must be typed out to respond.

Cadence allows us to contact individuals in a new way convenient to them.   It also saves me time by automatically adding the notes for me to the permanent record of the individuals saving me time and effort.

There is nothing that I can think of that I don't like about the system. I think the only struggle is always going to be cost, especially during the economic downturn most colleges/universities are experiencing.

Mongoose Cadence unfortunately does not integrate with our student information system which creates labor-intensive data uploads necessary to update contact lists. The ability to segment contact lists into certain overseers is also more complicated and fails to have a way to archive or sunset some segments without a great deal of effort.

I use Mongoose to communicate securely with my students all over the country.  Once their contact is entered, it is very easy to search them by name and send a message.  I am able to keep a tab open on my computer to continously check my group inbox with ease.

I do not like having a group inbox and seeing all the messages sent to my team members.  I believe it makes the program less secure and may violate some privacy issues from our students if they choose to send a personalized message

Mongoose Cadence is an easy-to-use, fast-delivery platform that enhances our direct communication with students. It's great to know if and when texts are not deliverable through email response.

It's a platform that you have to use to understand the ins and outs. At first, it was confusing, but with use, now clearer. It also tells me who the contact owner is so that I am not reaching out to someone that is not my recruit.
