The coding is difficult; finding errors in the coding is time consuming. To hire a consultant costs a ton of money so we have found we work with outdated form docs because it is too hard and expensive to overhaul them. Also i'm not sure hotdocs works well with Word. They changed the fundamentals of the program and now are on "version 1" which is full of bugs, cloud-based, often crashes- and they offer close to no support! The IT support staff is based in Europe, and the technical support center in San Diego is only a relay facility without any ability to fix any issues (which are rampant). There is really no product support after the sale. The sales team itself was very crude, had only a minor understanding of the product, and was less than honest and truthful (which we found out months after the fact) - they padded the sale with all sorts of add-ons that we did not need apparently. The software gives great control for these documents. It's easy to save as hpd and PDF formatting. **What do you dislike about Mitratech HotDocs?** I wish this software was available for apple and PC. I wish that it was easier at times to navigate between the various tools. Sometimes it is hard to read and navigate within an individual text field. Also sometimes when you get an error message for a field it's hard to figure out what the problem is with your entry. **Recommendations to others considering Mitratech HotDocs:** Compare HotDocs to Acrobat's similar features and you will be sold. This software allows us to fill out and edit the forms as we need to prepare them for filing and it lets us easily safe them into PDF.
