Easy to use, handles large amount of data/records, many integrated modules

The GUI is a bit outdated (but refresh expected summer 2026).

**What do you like best about ParishSOFT?**

I do like how ParishSoft allows for so much information on the family and individual members of that family to be implemented. The competitors do not typically include that many details.

**What do you dislike about ParishSOFT?**

I dislike how outdated ParishSoft looks. It is an older system without many updates, it is very primitive in what functions can be used. The entire look of ParishSoft needs to be modified to be modern and more user-friendly.

**What problems is ParishSOFT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ParishSoft was a tool to keep track of our parishioners and all the details for each person and family. We also use it for accounting purposes. However, I do not see how ParishSoft has helped the church grow.

**What do you like best about ParishSOFT?**

The UI is very intuitive and easy to navigate. The search function allows for partial names, so you don't need to know everything. Having a single database for all of your parishioners means that when someone makes an update on a piece of data, it is available to everyone immediately.

**What do you dislike about ParishSOFT?**

Sometimes, the query tool doesn't bring back any values even though I know the query is set up right. They have two sides of the product, a diocesan view and a parish view. The diocesan view doesn't work very well, so we have to still use the old version of their product.

**Recommendations to others considering ParishSOFT:**

Whether you are a large church or a small one, ParishSoft will work for you. If you are considering migrating to ParishSoft's Connect Now product, I recommend that you do some clean up of your current data before migrating. It will make the end results a lot better.

**What problems is ParishSOFT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use ParishSoft to manage all of the parishioners that are in our diocese. We use it to manage, from a diocesan view, the Bishop's Annual Appeal and any parish's capital funds they request us to manage. The parishes use ParishSoft to register their parishioners, record any contributions or any ministry work that they may do. The biggest benefit is that using a single database for all of our parishioners shows that anytime any information on a person is updated, everyone gets to see it right away, so we have cleaner data from which to pull mailing lists, etc..

**What do you like best about ParishSOFT?**

It has helped us to be able to communicate with a church volunteers on a quick basis. Easy to learn and to email and mail out our information.

**What do you dislike about ParishSOFT?**

Printing out labels can be a hassle sometimes

**Recommendations to others considering ParishSOFT:**

To other churches this would certainly help you with your volunteers and implementing your mass schedules

**What problems is ParishSOFT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can create schedules for our daily and weekend masses and then email the results to our volunteers

**What do you like best about ParishSOFT?**

You can handle lots of church management functions like a member directory, giving, attendance, and other information all in one place with this software. We used at at my Episcopal church where I served on the communications committee for several years.

**What do you dislike about ParishSOFT?**

When we created a WordPress website, it didn't really integrate well with the software. We replaced a lot of the functions we had done with ParishSOFT with WordPress plugins. If ParishSOFT creates plugins and integrations for WordPress it would really enhance the offerings. Sometimes the software is buggy.

**Recommendations to others considering ParishSOFT:**

If you want a cloud based solution for managing all your parish data, this may meet your needs. The support is prompt and friendly. Sometimes the software is slow to load and I wish it integrated better with WordPress, but that might not be an issue for many church administrators, especially at small or medium sized parishes.

**What problems is ParishSOFT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Really good if you want a one stop place for all your church data and information. It's strengths are in the accounting areas and tracking of data.

**What do you like best about ParishSOFT?**

ParishSoft enables parishes to keep track of its parishioners and allows administration to update notes and important information in its records. It also allows us to send out thank you letters, holiday letters, and parish wide updates easily. It has also helped us in our capital campaign.

**What do you dislike about ParishSOFT?**

It requires a good amount of training to make sure that you are using it properly. This is important so you can use it to its fullest capacity.

**Recommendations to others considering ParishSOFT:**

ParishSOFT is an excellent tool to make sure your church is well organized and you're able to keep good records of parishioners and donations. It is easy to use and can help with much more such as organizing large mailings for holidays, tax letters, thank you letters, etc. The support staff is extremely helpful when you need them.

**What problems is ParishSOFT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With 8,000 registered parishioners our church needed a way to track our parishioners to keep accurate records and updated information. It has allowed our church to track bio information on families, accurate mailing addresses, giving history, and mailing preferences.

I like that we can track sacraments for our parishioners.

I find scheduling ministers for the various services cumbersome.

Parishioners can go online to make changes to their own profiles, eliminating errors. They can track their sacrificial giving.

**What do you like best about ParishSOFT?**

The ability for all parishes to be linked into the same database, with real time updates. Having access to all the same information.

**What do you dislike about ParishSOFT?**

There can be lag in processing, which can slow down work flow. Usually that just means i am going to fast.

**Recommendations to others considering ParishSOFT:**

smart move for your information if you are currently using Access. been with the program since its implementation and have seen many changes for the positive.

Easy maintenance of donor records and information. Easy retrieval of information, reports, statistics. Being able to see everything the parishes are viewing at the same time.

**What do you like best about ParishSOFT?**

The best part of the software would have to be the way the main parts are separated into modules. There is a separate module for finance, reports, family data, etc. That makes the program easier to work with when you have a specific task you need to perform.

**What do you dislike about ParishSOFT?**

My main concern is the reliability. We rely on the accuracy of the database. There have been times when this has come into question.

**What problems is ParishSOFT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Updating/keeping our parishioner listing updated with current information is the best and biggest reason we like ParishSoft. We have benefited from being able to filter our criteria for reporting purposes.

**What do you like best about ParishSOFT?**

Parish soft is a program which helps churches keep record of its full membership and also their financial contributions. It is easy to use with a very simple layout.

**What do you dislike about ParishSOFT?**

 There seems to be a too basic reporting system when he comes to information being printed out or shared electronically.

**What problems is ParishSOFT solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Paris soft allows us to keep good records. All the basic in nature they have been most helpful especially when it comes to technical support.
