The most useful part of Mimecast for us has been stopping spoofing of our end users. We have several high profile and highly visible end users that are often spoofed in attempts to scam others, and Mimecast has made it much easier to block these attempts. We do occasionally run into issues where an email is blocked due to DMARC authentication failing when they were legitamate but I feel the added protection against threats is worth an occasional inconvenience of unblocking an email. This is useless, for our company as it never gives us a sense of security knowing that our sensitive data is safeguarded against phishing attempts. For instance, the added protection it provides against threats is useless. There are inconveniences that arise from having to unblock emails that fail DMARC authentication. It is wonderful if the integration with third party tools is made streamlined and user friendly through expanded API capabilities. The lack of a user interface makes navigation and configuration difficult for users like myself. The setup wizard and testing tools prove helpful the system falls short when it comes to providing instructions for implementation. Comprehensive reporting capabilities are lacking which makes it difficult to track and analyze any DMARC related issues properly.
