I appreciate the creation of custom rules to block new phishing patterns or suspicious domains and the ability to fine-tune filtering based on our specific environment, like by department. Disconnected threat intel - can't easily correlate Mimecast threat data with other security tools to get a full picture of attack campaigns. From all the basics of emails protection like allow/deny lists, to more advanced features like greylist checks and DMARC rules, it does all from a very friendly interface and once you get used to its logic, the daily usage of IT admins, to the sporadic use by end users just makes this product probably the best in class on its market. **What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?** The only caveat to something so ease to integrate and manage is the customer support and account management that is often lacking. The customisation of the policies is fantastic too and really allows us to easily finetune what actions we want taking on certain emails and allows us to override it when we do not want action to be taken. Customer support is really good and the documentation available is useful. I have also completed the Mimecast University and I would recommend this to anyone who is administrating Mimecast. The large file send and secure message send are part of our business practices now and we feel safe knowing that these types of emails are sent correctly and securely, and with automatically generated instructions to the recipients so we don't need to explain to them what to do. **What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?** The upgrades last year to the administrator console were in my opinion a bit of a downgrade. Frequent arguments and postponements occur and essential messages are isolated leading to more frequent chaos. I am an administrator and I regularly use Mimecast to support our group. The user interface is easy to get around to investigate email delivery as well as reports on nasty emails. The biggest positive of Mimecast is the protection against spam emails, where it captures 99% of spam as well as many phishing attempts and malicious emails. This and many of Mimecasts other features such as stationary, email archive and reports, makes Mimecast a valuable product to our organisation for excellent value. We rarely require support from customer services, but when we do, they are supportive and help us fix any issues. **What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?** There is not a lot I dislike about Mimecast Email Security so this is probably nit picking a bit. Where I say Mimecast captures 99% of the spam, it would be the 1% that gets through where our users will assume it is safe and get caught out by the trap. I don't think any Email Security system would be 100% but would be nice if those 1% if emails included a mimecast warning that this could be a malicious attempt. The Mimecast Administration console has vastly improved over the last year or so making it easier to navigate. The only issue I have is sometimes when reports are loading, it would be nice to see a loading bar or spinning circle or something to signify that Mimecast is working on it. **What problems is Mimecast Advanced Email Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our organisation sends and recieves a lot of emails, without mimecast our users would be inundated with spam and malicious emails. The sandboxing and hold boxes provide our staff with the the ability to check flagged emails without the need for me to do anything. With our current setup, new staff can be added to our systems without any need of any further configuration as it is automatically handled with Mimecast. It is easy to implement and once set up requires little intervention from IT staff in the day to day management of email send and recieve functionality. Users are able to self assess held of flagged emails and decide whether they think they are safe or malicious based on Mimecasts recommendations. Mimecast Advanced Email Security integrated straight into our Microsoft365 tenancy with very little effort and the Outlook add in allows a further level of integration and convenience to the end user. Mimecast Support has improved vastly over the years we have been a customer, it is now a very quick and easy way of sorting out any issues that do arise. **What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?** Mimecast Advanced Email Security can take some time to tailor the impact on end users to begin with. Time and effort is needed to construct the correct whitelists and exceptions, as well as adjusting the spam filters to avoid an excessive amount of email being incorrectly held. The only other drawback is the usability of the administration portal, features and their policies can be hard to find as there are quite a few different levels to each function. **What problems is Mimecast Advanced Email Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** Since the introduction of Mimecast Advanced Email Security in our business we have seen a massive reduction in phishing and other malicious emails being delivered to users inboxes. The Best feature I would say is its robust policies and variety of polcies which covers all the of threate coming from email. It has the best URL protection complemented by Sandboxing. The implementaion was also easy thanks to their support staffs and Integration with m365 was easy. **What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?** One of the main frustrations with Mimecast Advanced Email Security is its not so perfect New Outlook addin. It requires continous loggin and it doesn't work as good as the old Outlook Plugin. The variety of policies also makes it difficult to track and configure new policies, making it confusing. We were getting really hammered by standard end-user email platforms sending numerous emails spoofing our CEO and it got to the point that we were concerned that we only had to have one of those phishing emails hit hard for our reputation to be very hurt. We opted for Mimecast and boom - no more silly emails. We also send many outbound emails via Amazon SES and Mimecast is brilliant at accommodating this for us, so it honestly ticks so many boxes and maintains security. A quick note on onboarding and support, for years I've used Mimecast and have always been really delighted with the technical and interpersonal skills of their engineers. Really brilliant service all round, and prompt responses whenever I need a guiding hand for configuring stuff or something doesn't quite click in my head and needs explaining. **What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?** We opted for the Mega-Plan and it integrates pretty well, it does need a few Azure Enterprise Apps to be plugged in to work. A few minutes work, not a massive biggie. **What problems is Mimecast Advanced Email Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** Preventing a small horde of spammer and whalers from getting through the door to 'speak' to my users, per-user ACLs also ensure I can have exactly the right people getting the right e-mails without opening the door for everyone in the company to receive from that domain. Virus screening, spam screening, targeted threat protection and even phishing awareness - all of this works, with a relatively control panel that is easy to use. Implementation is relatively simple, as is integration with our on-premise Exchange server. **What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?** The performance can be somewhat lacking, and over the past year or so, Mimecast have faced a number of issues outside of their control. Spam activity from customers who are sending out bulk mail have resulted in our own emails being rejected by spam-blacklists, but Mimecast customer support have been responsive and helpful in thos einstances. Our more frequent users have also had problems with TTP enrolment, another issue outside of Mimecasts's control, but one that has led to some of my more senior users complaining about the service. **What problems is Mimecast Advanced Email Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** Mimecast helps to protect my organisation. It serves as an essential safeguard against those occasions where staff click the wrong link or open the wrong attachment. ### 49. Easy to use and give a lot of insight into the threats that are part of your e-mail attack surface. For the most part the implementation is easy, until you need to configure specific rules and policies that are specific to an organization. We use it daily to look at the held e-mails and review what is undeliverable via the rules and policies. Easily integrates with M365. **What do you dislike about Mimecast Advanced Email Security?** The downside is the support is a little offputting, if you are past your implementation phase. Some of the rule and policies are hard to configure through implementation. **What problems is Mimecast Advanced Email Security solving and how is that benefiting you?** Lessening the attack vector for the end user, by stopping most of the malicious e-mails that are phishing attempts. ### 50.
