"Powerful Low-Code Automation, but Licensing and Timeouts Can Slow You Down"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

low code development, MS365 integration and wide range of connectors. Ai and copilot included make it easy to automate the workflows for our tasks and execute. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

complex licensing system, time out issues for complex or large tasks, web automation needs pro license which is not expected. Cannot save the automation steps offline. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Approval flows easy to create, without relying on technical areas"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I like that I have been able to easily enable some approval workflows for my processes without needing support from technical areas to create them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

The configuration to use approval flows seems unintuitive to me. For example, if I need them to have expiration or escalation, I must enable an additional rule for this to work. Honestly, I believe it should be automatic, because it is always necessary and required for the flows to conclude. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Low-Code Automation with Seamless Microsoft Integrations"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

One of its biggest strengths is how easy it is to use—even for non-developers. With its low-code/no-code interface, users can build automated workflows (called “flows”) using simple drag-and-drop actions, which makes automation approachable for business users, not just IT professionals.

Another major advantage is its seamless integration with other Microsoft services like Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Dynamics 365. This allows organizations to automate everyday tasks such as approvals, notifications, file management, and data synchronization without needing complex custom development. Beyond Microsoft products, Power Automate also supports hundreds of third-party connectors, making it highly versatile.

Its ability to automate repetitive and time-consuming tasks is another key benefit. Businesses can significantly improve efficiency by eliminating manual processes like data entry, email sorting, and report generation. This not only saves time but also reduces human error, leading to more reliable outcomes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

Microsoft Power Automate has several drawbacks despite its strengths. One common issue is pricing—advanced features like RPA and premium connectors can become expensive, especially for large-scale use. While the platform is marketed as low-code, complex workflows still require technical knowledge, which can limit true accessibility for non-developers.

Performance can also be inconsistent, particularly with large or highly complex flows, leading to delays or failures that are sometimes difficult to troubleshoot. Debugging tools are not always intuitive, making error resolution time-consuming.

Another downside is its heavy reliance on the Microsoft ecosystem, such as Microsoft 365. Integrations outside this ecosystem exist but can be less seamless. Finally, there are limitations in customization compared to fully coded solutions, which may restrict advanced or highly specific automation needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Power Automate: Turn Routine Tasks into Instant Automation"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

It lets me automate repetitive tasks across apps and services without any coding, which saves me a lot of time. Setting up workflows is straightforward, and I can have it automatically handle emails, approvals, notifications, and data updates with minimal effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

I don’t like that complex workflows can become confusing, that troubleshooting errors can be difficult, and that licensing costs can add up quickly—especially when you need premium connectors or larger-scale automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful Automation with Room for Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I like Microsoft Power Automate's ability to quickly build and deploy automation using a low-code approach. It allows me to connect multiple systems like SharePoint, Dataverse, and external APIs without the need for heavy development, which significantly speeds up delivery. I appreciate the wide range of connectors and how easily it integrates within the Power Platform ecosystem, making it simple to extend Power Apps and create end-to-end business solutions. It strikes a good balance between simplicity and capability, enabling rapid development while still handling complex workflows when needed. The low-code interface allows me to quickly design workflows using pre-built actions and connectors, which speeds up development and makes it easy to prototype solutions. I also like that it has a process standardization benefit, ensuring workflows run consistently across the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

One of the main issues is the reliability of connection references, especially when working with external on-premises servers. These connections can fail unexpectedly and often require re-authentication, which disrupts production workflows and increases maintenance effort. Better management of connection references across environments (Dev/Test/Prod) would also be valuable. Currently, reconfiguring connections during deployments can be time-consuming, so more seamless environment-aware connections or auto-mapping would improve the experience. "Streamlines Workflows, Slight Learning Curve"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I find Microsoft Power Automate mostly straightforward to use, which makes the process of creating workflows more efficient for me. I appreciate how it reduces manual effort, allowing for things like the creation of SharePoint entries. Additionally, the alert feature is useful because it notifies me if there's an issue with a workflow. This enables me to promptly fix problems so that users aren't affected, enhancing the reliability of the workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

Some of the features can be a little bit confusing if you haven't used them previously. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines Automation, Slight Hurdles in Debugging"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I like the pre-built templates and various app integrations in Microsoft Power Automate. Now that they've added AI, it's a good feature too. We can connect Outlook, Teams, and other apps seamlessly into our workflows. AI features like data extraction from invoices are really helpful. The pre-built templates, such as for email notifications, are readily available and easy to use directly. Setting up Microsoft Power Automate is very easy because of the pre-built templates and proper documentation on the website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

When it comes to complex workflows, debugging becomes harder and they run very slow. In the error messages, it doesn't show the root cause of failure, just says 'Action failed'. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Microsoft Integration, Exceptional Automation Capabilities"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

I like Microsoft Power Automate for its ease of use and how well it integrates within the Microsoft ecosystem. Its almost drag and drop features are great, and the no-code approach is lovely. If you do have to use code, it's extremely light, with helpful power fx for quick functions, transformations, and JSON parsing. I enjoy its multiple connections and various approaches to trigger workflows, like time-based triggers, buttons in Power Apps, or HTTP requests. The ability to have comprehensive end-to-end flows within the Microsoft ecosystem is a big plus, and its Power BI integrations are great. Setting it up is very straightforward and easy within Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Online, and I appreciate that it's relatively easy to use and set up because it's within our license. Also, using it for a proof of concept or RPA approach, like triggering a report from SAP and downloading it to an Excel file, works well for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

Well, the Copilot is almost useless. It feels like a black box. If you request, it's simpler. Yes. And yes. It will be able to help you about anything beyond the simple request. It's useless. Sometimes the errors are not very clear. What they are and what should be suggested fix. In general, not just in Copilot. I wish this to be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Automation for Non-Coders, Effortless Weekly Reporting"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

Power Automate is really easy to use—you don’t need to know any code or programming at all. It’s not difficult to get started. I use it every week to help me export some reports. The way it works is that it has a built-in recorder; after I record all my steps, it will automatically run them according to the flow actions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

When your computer or network experiences delays, Power Automate may fail to recognize certain steps and display an error in red. That’s why it’s important to set the right wait time during the design process—not too short. Also, if the webpage changes or something pops up during automation, you’ll get the same error and need to reconfigure the flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Customized Workflows That Make Our Day-to-Day Simpler and Smarter"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft Power Automate?

The ability to craft customised workflows that deliver real business impact in our context and enable efficiency gains. It’s where we go to build the automations that make our day-to-day lives simpler and smarter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft Power Automate?

Sometimes referencing specific data sources can feel cumbersome, and it can be hard to understand which exact action you want to use, especially when some of them are so similar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
