I really enjoy using Microsoft Power Automate because it's extremely simple to use. The setup process was extremely easy, taking just a couple of minutes to get the workflow up and running. What stands out to me is the seamless connection from Microsoft Teams to Azure, which I find very simple and easy to use. I also like using it with Azure, Teams, and Outlook, as these integrations work perfectly for my needs as a software quality engineer. Making data transformations is not simple. There are some functions to use, but it would be much easier if data values could be processed through Python or a similar script. Also running operational commands on a workstation or server can be cumbersome with the additional work of configuring a local PA Desktop platform with a secondary flow.

It feels quite technical. For someone who doesn’t know how to write HTML code, creating engaging designs like this wouldn’t be easy. I’m also a non-technical person, but I use AI tools like Claude to generate the code and then paste it correctly into the module.

I think it's the part of variable coding within actions. It's not always intuitive and sometimes knowing DAX or HTML is not enough. Rather, you have to experiment. I like that Microsoft Power Automate gives me an easy‑to‑use, low‑code interface for building flows, so I can automate work without being a developer. Its integrations are especially valuable: I use it to connect Omatic Cloud, Raiser's Edge, and email so data moves automatically and the right communications go out based on that data, instead of doing everything manually. I dislike that Microsoft Power Automate becomes quite complex and fragile once you move beyond simple flows. Debugging errors and working with data types can be confusing, and limits on actions, run duration, and connectors sometimes get in the way of more advanced automations. Pricing and licensing for premium connectors can also add up quickly, which makes it harder to justify certain integrations outside the core Microsoft stack.
