## About Mena.ai
Mena.ai is clinical intelligence software for licensed psychologists, therapists, and mental health clinics. It combines practice management, scheduling, billing, invoicing, and patient records, with an AI clinical assistant that handles documentation, so clinicians spend less time on paperwork and more time with patients. Unlike AI scribes that only transcribe a session and generate a note, Mena is a full therapy practice platform with a clinical memory engine: clinical context is retained and organized between sessions. Therapists can converse with the assistant about a patient's history, and it draws on that patient's own record, session history, mood entries, clinical notes, care plans, therapeutic assignments, questionnaire results, appointments, and attached documents, citing which source it used for each answer. It can propose actions, such as drafting a therapeutic assignment or generating a session summary, but never executes them without explicit therapist approval. Mena's principle is simple: AI proposes, you decide. Every AI output is a draft for a qualified clinician to review, edit, accept, or discard, and the clinician retains full decision-making authority over patient care. Core capabilities include AI-drafted clinical notes, session theme organization, cognitive-pattern surfacing with verbatim quotes for clinician review, appointment scheduling with recurring sessions, Stripe-powered payments, Portuguese fiscal invoicing via Vendus, an embeddable booking widget for a practice website or Instagram bio, and a patient portal with mood tracking, secure messaging, homework assignments, questionnaires, and video sessions. Mena is built European-first. All patient data is processed and stored in EU data centres, and AI models are self-hosted, no third-party LLM APIs, which eliminates cross-border AI data transfers. PII and PHI are encrypted at field level with per-company keys. Mena is GDPR compliant and built to EU AI Act Articles 9, 10, 13, and 14, with human oversight required for all AI-generated clinical output. HIPAA safeguards and a Business Associate Agreement are available for US customers. Clinical data is never used to train AI models — a contractual guarantee. Mena.ai is practice management and clinical documentation software. It is not a medical device and makes no diagnostic, screening, or therapeutic claim.
