As someone who is used to being able to place things wherever I want when designing in Indesign, I struggle with not being able to make things look exactly the way that I want. This isn't necessarily a Mailstyler limitation, however, just a general limitation when designing html emails. Sometimes when adding the html code into constant contact for sending, text will format with a different color, weight, size than what I designed in Mailstyler. I understand how to read code and find where it is that I need to edit in order to make it look the way I want it to, but if someone were unfamiliar with code, this would be a big downside I'm sure. Mailstyler 2 makes it simple to create stunning marketing emails with an easy to use drag and drop interface without any need for coding knowledge. Mailstyler 2 has the ability to create merged cells, drag in assets such as images, buttons and text blocks which are all great new upgrades for the original version. We have never had any major issues with the output code and have used the original version successfully for nearly 3 years before upgrading to mailstyler 2 in the last few months. There are a couple of bugs with the function for layering of text and images which is new in mailstyler 2. The software can't cope with using very large stock images and you are forced to create images in photoshop which makes this feature redundant. I also faced issues with fonts not working in the same feature. There are a couple of minor issues which are just hints you need to get used to. These include that connected cells need to have the same margins on or they will be stretched automatically. Sometimes table rows appear stretched in the outputting HTML as it sets a tr height which is too tall. These can be coded out but wouldn't be better is it didn't happen. Line heights on paragraphs also get a bit upset at times which could be improved. None of these issues are enough to put me off using the software at all and are all bypassable.

The main problem is the support is pretty bad and I have had them be rude and patronising to me on numerous occasions when I have raised issues. They also take a very long to,e to deal with issues, if at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
