I like the plug-and-play approach of designing stunning email templates. Also, it works with almost every email client smoothly. **What do you dislike about MailStyler 2?** There is nothing as such, but it should have a web version too. Also, the MailStyler Basic plan comes with a "Basic image gallery" that is not fair when you pay for a service. **Recommendations to others considering MailStyler 2:** If you are looking to create hassle-free newsletters, MailStyler 2 is the answer. But do remember it does not have a web version yet. **What problems is MailStyler 2 solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used to create responsive email newsletters with MailStyler 2. It helped us in sending emails that convert! It has great capabilities to make your email marketing look good. ### 2. This isn't necessarily a Mailstyler limitation, however, just a general limitation when designing html emails. Sometimes when adding the html code into constant contact for sending, text will format with a different color, weight, size than what I designed in Mailstyler. I understand how to read code and find where it is that I need to edit in order to make it look the way I want it to, but if someone were unfamiliar with code, this would be a big downside I'm sure. **Recommendations to others considering MailStyler 2:** It's a great program for those looking for something relatively inexpensive and for use on a single computer. If you're looking for something you can access from multiple computers, this is not the product for you as you have to physically install it on a computer, and each computer requires a different installation key. **What problems is MailStyler 2 solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've been able to create great-looking, custom emails to blast out to our database and generate interest in properties that aren't necessarily the prettiest in the bunch. ### 3. And it's easy to design an email in mailstyler to then export to HTML in order to send the email through MailChimp or Constant Contact. **What do you dislike about MailStyler 2?** Hard for a graphic designer who's used to being able to move things wherever I want in InDesign to get used to such rigid block placements. **Recommendations to others considering MailStyler 2:** Works great for what it does--make sure to do your research as there are TONS of other similar programs out there. **What problems is MailStyler 2 solving and how is that benefiting you?** MailStyler has allowed us to create emails that are personalized for our brand, and completely unique to us rather than editing a cookie cutter email that someone else could also edit. ### 4. MailStyler 2 is a new versions and updated functionality on it. We can add email templates in thunderbird, Gmail and other email software to display content for customers. The help knowledge base is quite helpful in getting you started. The interface is clean and not overwhelming. I like the dark grey interface and the immediate view of the result is helpful during the design process. They have maqny learning resources available, including video tutorials, which are a great help in getting started **What do you dislike about MailStyler 2?** It can be tricky to use if you have no web coding knowledge. The drag and drop components are somewhat limited in number and type, requiring more coding knowledge to get a more advanced desired result. **Recommendations to others considering MailStyler 2:** No additional questions **What problems is MailStyler 2 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Creating responsive emails for marketing purposes was the main goal for me trying out Mailstyler 2. This transition has saved me a considerable amount of time in my working role and the software is very easy to use. **What do you dislike about MailStyler 2?** There is a lack of flexibility with some of the templates, which can lead to mixed results once the finalised email has been exported. **What problems is MailStyler 2 solving and how is that benefiting you?** It would be good to have a WYSIWIG tool implemented into Mailstyler, which would enable experienced users to have the option to tinker with the code of their template prior to it being exported. ### 9. Mailstyler 2 has the ability to create merged cells, drag in assets such as images, buttons and text blocks which are all great new upgrades for the original version. We have never had any major issues with the output code and have used the original version successfully for nearly 3 years before upgrading to mailstyler 2 in the last few months. **What do you dislike about MailStyler 2?** There are a couple of bugs with the function for layering of text and images which is new in mailstyler 2. The software can't cope with using very large stock images and you are forced to create images in photoshop which makes this feature redundant. I also faced issues with fonts not working in the same feature. There are a couple of minor issues which are just hints you need to get used to. These include that connected cells need to have the same margins on or they will be stretched automatically. Sometimes table rows appear stretched in the outputting HTML as it sets a tr height which is too tall. These can be coded out but wouldn't be better is it didn't happen. Line heights on paragraphs also get a bit upset at times which could be improved. None of these issues are enough to put me off using the software at all and are all bypassable. The main problem is the support is pretty bad and I have had them be rude and patronising to me on numerous occasions when I have raised issues. They also take a very long to,e to deal with issues, if at all. **Recommendations to others considering MailStyler 2:** This is a fantastic software to use as long as you don't foresee yourself requiring any major support. You can really create some lovely emails which are highly personisable and styled exactly as you wish and I would absolutely recommend this software completely. Follow the tutorials and play around yourself until you get used to exactly how everything works. **What problems is MailStyler 2 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before we purchased mailstyler we used to hand code all our marketing emails. This took a long time and required coding knowledge which was limited to just a couple of members of staff.
