I am now transcribing these into text to include in my archive at the Benson Library, University of Texas/Austin. I am also sharing them with the subjects of the oral histories so we can make corrections to names/places/dates. Finally, I am sharing them with a PhD student who is researching social movements. (The theme of the oral histories is the agrarian reform movement 1964-74). ### 2. Multi-lingual support for subtitles & transcripts is like the cherry on the cake. **What do you dislike about Maestra?** Nothing in particular, all of our requirements were satisfied after using maestra. One suggestion that I would give maestra is that they need to improve their windowing scroll on the dashboard. **What problems is Maestra solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have video player on our platform and there are users across the globe who visit our platform who are less proficient in English. Maestra comes into picture here as it has helped us to generate video subtitles in 6 different languages via their super fast APIs. ### 6. It is easy to make corrections and ensure accuracy. I really appreciate how easy it was to make my video content more accessible by adding captioning. I liked that the pricing structure allows me to pay for the minutes of transcription I need rather than a monthly or annual fee. **What do you dislike about Maestra?** I did not see any downside. It would be great if the software would learn specific words once it had been updated more than once and use that word for the next file, but I was impressed with how accurate it was. **What problems is Maestra solving and how is that benefiting you?** Maestra made it easy to make my videos more inclusive for the audience. ### 7. I have not been able to find another company or product to be able to do the voiceover on videos. I also really like how fast videos are captioned and the voiceover is implemented. **What do you dislike about Maestra?** The least helpful thing about it is the translation. Specifically the translations from another language to English (although I cannot speak to the translation from English to another language), I tried to use it on a Spanish video into English and there were parts that were not picked up and not translated and the translation was not accurate. **What problems is Maestra solving and how is that benefiting you?** It has been very helpful for English videos to be able to get the captions back pretty quickly. We have used other companies and those typically take some time to get back so it is nice to have an option to get videos captioned quickly. ### 11. We were quickly able to automatically convert audio-to-text transcription software, literally "push-button" style. We turned our video and audio files to text automatically in a matter of minutes. There was no way we were going to spend hours a day hand typing what Maestra does in minutes. And to 50+ languages... it's really a no-brainer choice when it comes to scaling your business. **What do you dislike about Maestra?** Nothing to dislike at the moment. Maestra offers what I believe most businesses need right now. And so much more. They are very open to hearing their clients, so they can make the product not only better. Accuracy was pretty good for English and Spanish. Additionally, their customer support was top-notch. We were able to translate more than 500K words in one month.
