What do you like best about Macrium Backup & Restore?

MAcrium is straight forward on its usage, which makes it easy for anyone. We use it once a month for our regular monthly backups. It was easy to get going - just install and away you go. The number of features offered are perfect for us, especially when creating plans and the additional customisation options when creating backup naming conventions. What do you like best about Macrium Backup & Restore?

The Macrium Tools from Site Backup to Technicians USB and Reflect X are all excellent tools and have gotten me out of trouble so many times.

Site Manager is also brilliant for keeping an eye on all your Sites in one place.

Customer Support is amazing and anytime i've had any issues they have gone above and beyond to help me correct it.

Macrium is one of the few software companies I've dealt with that has a consistently prominent level of stability and quality in their products. I have used Macrium Reflect for years and only encountered one minor bug. This issue was with an out-of-date version and Macrium still repaired the issue. Amazing! 5 stars! What problems is Macrium Backup & Restore solving and how is that benefiting you?

I make what could be called "OS image layers" of my desktop. I install the OS, patch it then image the disk. Next, I customize the OS then image the disk. Then, I install a major app (Office for example) then I image the disk. You see my pattern here. This way, if Office were to cause a major failure, going back to a previous image is painless. I can install apps with impunity because I know I have a solid backup of my PC that I can revert to with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Macrium Backup & Restore?

THere are lots of options when backing up and restoring data/disks. It's easy to use starting from the homescreen dashboard to then selecting the "create backups", "rescue", look through existiung backups, or restore from one. I haven't had any issues with the software yet, so can't judge or rate anything with customer support. I can't say there's much of anytthing to complain about with the software as I've been using it for years and never had to get any kind of "instruction" manual to know how to use it. What do you like best about Macrium Backup & Restore?

After years of using Acronis, switching to Macrium Reflect has been a breath of fresh air. The interface is cleaner and more intuitive, performance is noticeably faster, and the ability to boot backup images directly into Hyper-V is a game-changer for testing and recovery. What do you like best about Macrium Backup & Restore?

I've used Macrium Backup & Restore for so many years, and what I really like is that I get a complete backup in a short period of time. It provides incremental backups each day, which has been incredibly helpful. I've been able to either upgrade a disc or completely recover from a serious problem using it. I'm attaching a KB article on our "Image Guardian", which I would summarise as a tool that ensures that your Macrium backups can only be modified by Macrium. If another file, process, or application tries to modify your backup, the Image Guardian rejects the attempt and preserves your backup. "Fast Performance with BitLocker Support"

Some times broken restore process resulted in BitLocker turned off. Using Windows Boot Menu as rescue media seems unsecure, because anyone can access BitLocker unlocked files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I made a clean install and configuration of my notebook. Then saved it (imaging C: drive) and use my notebook. Frequently (cca. monthly) restore from backup, make updates and config changes and save it again. This rolling restore/backup process helps staying my notebook clean of unwanted things. "Using Macrium for cloning updated Windows PCs"

What do you like best about Macrium Backup & Restore?

The ease of use and integration. From installation onwards it was completely straightforward, I was using it within 5 minutes and getting the results I wanted for cloning hard drives to update old PCs. It just had a slide across action, couple of clicks and then it was doing all the hard work for me. I would have spent days of my life doing this without using Macrium, instead it's just been chugging away in my office, cloning my drives, honestly could not have been easier. Honestly there were none, it was so straightforward to install, I was using it immediately, no reading up or figuring it out, instructions clear to understand and worked perfectly for the job I was doing. No complaints at all! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Macrium Backup & Restore solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have a number of Win 10 devices in varying degrees of decrepitude and no budget to replace them. I've been able to install Windows 11, update software and clear out any old user profiles and general crud and get these old devices working as well as they can do. Been getting great feedback from my users too, the machines are faster and have literally been given a new lease of life. We are a school with increasing pressures on our finances, we don't have money to spend on new devices, this method has been a money and time saver for us, we're really delighted with the results. What do you like best about Macrium Backup & Restore?

Their support team. The application has very little to know issues. Some of the most complex Backup and Restore options are with laptops and moving between a Single drive to a RAID drive and retain your image. Macrium has this issue covered and any issues I have had the support team is there to quickly solve and walk you through the process. Been using it over 10 years and have deployed Macrium at over 6 companies that use it consistently. The backups are easy and the restore process when on the same machine has a complete script that restores the machine and reboots all automatically with little to no user interaction, this means you can also do them remotely, which is not typically something other backup and restore applications offer.
