"Understanding Every Users Journey"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

SIMVANA uses Lucky Orange to better understand how visitors interact with our website. Heatmaps and session recordings help us see what's working, where users get stuck, and how we can improve the overall experience. We use these insights to optimize navigation, improve demo requests and registrations, and refine our website based on real user behavior. Lucky Orange also helps our sales and marketing teams understand what content and products generate the most interest. By continuously learning from visitor interactions, we can make smarter decisions that improve engagement and conversion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

It would be great if Lucky Orange offered more AI-driven recommendations to help us improve our website based on the visitor data it collects. We'd also love to see more built-in SEO and content optimization tools so we can make improvements without relying on additional platforms. Better integrations with CRM and marketing tools would make it easier to connect website activity with leads, campaigns, and overall business results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Lucky Orange Makes User Tracking and Ad Spend Optimization Effortless"
5/5
What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

Lucky Orange has made it easy to track how users navigate our website, including which events they interact with and which products they click on or view the most. It has helped us prioritize our top-selling products and use our ad spending more effectively, instead of relying on guesswork like we did before using Lucky Orange. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

If there’s anything I could say I dislike, it’s only that I don’t have enough time in the day to go through it as often as I’d like. My browser tab is always open on Lucky Orange. I’ve honestly fallen in love with it, and I don’t know what I would have done without it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Will Daniels of Lucky Orange

These are words we love to hear! Lucky Orange has so many features that can help you see from your customers’ perspective how they are interacting with your store and gain that valuable feedback. Thanks again for your review, and don't hesitate to reach out with any questions!

"User-Friendly Interface, But Billing Needs Improvement"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

We started using Lucky Orange about a year ago, and one of the first things that struck me was how approachable the interface is. A lot of analytics tools feel like you need a manual to get anywhere, but our whole team picked this up fast, including people who don't live in marketing dashboards all day. The HubSpot integration was another reason we stuck with it. Keeping that data in one place instead of bouncing between tabs saves a real amount of friction.

Setup was painless too. Inviting people and spinning up dashboards is quick, so it didn't become one of those tools only one person on the team actually knows how to use.

Session recordings are the feature I get the most out of, and it's become something I check almost daily. Being able to watch how someone actually moves through a checkout flow tells me far more than a funnel chart ever did. We caught a broken coupon field on mobile this way that had been quietly killing conversions for weeks, and our analytics never would have flagged it.

The heatmaps are useful too, though I lean on them less. Where they earn their keep is settling internal debates. When someone insists a CTA needs to move above the fold, I can pull up the scroll data and show that 70% of visitors are getting there anyway.

A couple of things worth mentioning for anyone considering it. The live chat add-on surprised me. We turned it on expecting it to be a minor feature and it's now where a decent chunk of our support conversations start. And the dashboard segmenting by traffic source has been handy for spotting that our paid visitors behave completely differently from organic ones.

The performance side has held up well for us too. The tracking script hasn't caused any noticeable slowdown on our pages, which was a real concern before we signed up since we'd been burned by a heavier tool in the past. The newer AI features are a mixed bag so far. The automatic summaries that flag notable sessions save me from scrubbing through hours of recordings, and they're usually pointing me at the right ones. The AI-generated insights are hit or miss, sometimes stating the obvious, but when they surface something I hadn't thought to look for it's a nice time-saver. I'd treat it as a helpful assistant rather than something to fully rely on.

Downsides: on a high-traffic site you'll burn through your recording quota faster than you'd expect, so you end up sampling rather than capturing everything. And the interface can feel cluttered when you first log in. It took me a few weeks to figure out which reports I'd actually use versus the ones I'd open once and forget.

Overall it's earned its spot in our stack. It's not the flashiest tool, but it answers the question "what are people actually doing on the site" better than anything else we've tried. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

The one area I'd flag for improvement is how billing tier upgrades are handled. We manage payments through a service that issues virtual credit cards with fixed spending limits tied to each vendor. When we exceeded our contact limit, Lucky Orange automatically upgraded us to the next tier without any advance notice. The higher charge itself was reasonable given the overage, but because it came without warning, it exceeded the predefined limit on our virtual card and the payment failed.

The impact is that a billing change we would have approved instead turned into a declined payment and the scramble that follows, which isn't a great spot to be in for either side. A simple fix would solve it: an email notification before an automatic tier upgrade takes effect, explaining the change and the new amount. That heads-up would let customers adjust card limits or budgets ahead of time and avoid the failed transaction entirely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thank you for your review! Love to hear that Lucky Orange insights gave you that front row experience to show you how visitors use your website. And using our integrations only adds to the benefits you can get from Lucky Orange. Regarding your feedback on the billing, we sent you an email regarding this so feel free to reply back to that email. Again, we appreciate your review, and we're here should you need anything else!

"Crystal-Clear Customer Insights with Session Recordings and Heatmaps"
5/5
What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

The clearest strength of this tool is how well it shows real customer behavior. With session recordings and heatmaps, it’s very easy to see exactly where shoppers click, hesitate, or get confused. That visibility turns into practical insights I can actually act on to improve my storefront, without needing a data science degree to make sense of the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

There’s definitely a bit of an initial learning curve when you first log in. If you’re not already familiar with behavior analytics, it can take some time to figure out which reports are most relevant to your goals. Because of that, the onboarding could be a little more streamlined and beginner-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Will Daniels of Lucky Orange

Thank you for your review! Seeing exactly what your visitors and customers do and experience on your website through heatmaps and session recordings can make all the difference in improving your website and growing your business. Regarding your feedback on the initial learning curve, you can always set up a free demo of our tool and our team can provide some tips on first getting started and diving into the all of the insights you collect. Just reach out to support@luckyorange.com and we can set that up for you! Again, we appreciate your review, and we're here should you need anything else!

"Fast Setup and Clear Traffic & Goal Tracking"
5/5
What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

I really appreciate how straightforward it is to track where our traffic comes from and what specific actions visitors take once they arrive. It’s made it easy to set up custom activity goals, so we can pinpoint exactly when someone completes a high-value action. The initial implementation was also incredibly fast, which helped us get up and running quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

The live tracking feature often feels a bit glitchy and doesn’t always update smoothly in real time. I also think the attribution for certain visitors could be much clearer, because there are times when it’s hard to get a definitive sense of exactly which source or campaign actually brought them to us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Will Daniels of Lucky Orange

Thanks for leaving us such a thorough review! Being able to see what visitors do and experience on your site can make all of the difference in improving the customer experience and your conversions. "Real-Time Website Insights That Help Us Spot Issues Fast"
5/5
What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

We can see in real time how our prospects and customers navigate our website. This helps significantly to identify what aspects of our pages are interesting to our target audience. We also can quickly identify if there is a broken link or a 404 error on any page. Furthermore, we can detect the volume of bots visiting our website, as well as track which products and pages are the most popular." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

Pain points: When we detect bots entering our website, we delete those sessions. However, those deleted bot sessions still count toward the session counter tied to our billing plan, so they aren’t deducted. If there’s a sudden spike in bot traffic, this can cause us to hit the maximum number of sessions allowed under our plan. The app should be able to not take count of sessions of less tha 3 sconds. Additionally, there are times when the recording skips or gets stuck in a loop, requiring us to stop and restart the session we are trying to analyze." Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Will Daniels of Lucky Orange

Thank you for your review! Being able to see what visitors do and experience on your site can make all of the difference in improving the customer experience and your conversions. Again, we appreciate your review, and we're here should you need anything else!

"Clear Website Insights That Drive Better Decisions"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

Session recordings reveal exactly where users get stuck, helping us improve pages, forms, and conversions faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

The reporting can feel a little limited when you need deeper segmentation or more customized dashboards. It would also be helpful to have more flexibility in filtering recordings and comparing behavior across audiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Will Daniels of Lucky Orange

Thank you for your review! Being able to see what visitors do and experience on your website can make all of the difference in improving the customer experience and your conversions. Regarding your feedback about comparing behavior across different audiences, you could always use our Discovery tool to do this. "Session Playback Turns User Behavior Into Clear, Actionable Visuals"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

The session playback engine is easily the standout feature for me because it lets you watch user sessions like a video clip. It turns technical data into clear, simple visuals, so we can quickly see what grabs a shopper’s attention and how they move through our catalog, without making the process feel complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

The application is fairly heavy on system resources, so it requires a reasonably capable laptop to render videos and heatmaps smoothly without causing browser lag. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simple to Navigate with Incredibly Detailed Visitor Data and Game-Changing Session Replays"
4/5
What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

It provides extremely detailed visitor data while still being very simple to navigate. The session recording feature has been a total game-changer for us; being able to replay customer activity like a video gives a completely different perspective on what’s actually working on the site and what isn’t. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

The pricing could definitely be more competitive, especially for smaller operations. I’ve also noticed the dashboard isn’t very light on system resources; it can be quite taxing on basic laptops and really needs decent hardware to render recordings and heatmaps smoothly without lag. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Tracking Was Helpful, but Lucky Orange Slowed Our Site and the Upgrade Disappointed"
1.5/5
What do you like best about Lucky Orange?

I liked that we could track what customers were doing on our website. We could then diagnose problems without having to reach out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Lucky Orange?

Lucky Orange slowed our website down significantly. We were told we needed to upgrade and after a few years (had to wait out or contract), we did. Then the "new better" version was worse than the previous. It didn't slow the website down but every chat had a fake random name and it missed a bunch of our customers interactions. We voiced our concerns and were told that they would maybe address it in a later version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Will Daniels of Lucky Orange

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience with site load times and the delay you experienced when transitioning to our newer platform. We take performance very seriously and our code is designed to load asynchronously while also compressing files in transit to prevent any impact on site speed. Because of this, performance issues like this are rare, and we are sorry to hear you experienced this. We also always strive to make upgrades seamless—including allowing migrations mid-contract—so we regret that this wasn't your experience.

Regarding the visitor names: our platform automatically assigns randomized names specifically to protect visitor privacy and comply with data privacy regulations while still allowing you to track individual session behavior.

Because this review was left anonymously, we haven't been able to locate your account or past support tickets to investigate what happened. We’d love the opportunity to look into this and make things right. Please reach out to us directly at support@luckyorange.com so our team can assist you.
