**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

It's professional grade speed and rock solid stability is the most important, combined with a comprehensive permissions system, making it perfect to run very large folder structure in sync on the cloud without having to set up a full server and the maintenance related to it.
The cache synchronisation strategy is brilliant and allows for optimised workflows where certain files are always on, critical for certain applications that assume instant access to a pool of files.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

So far I love it and can not find a fault.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shared folders with very large number of files, fast enough to allow teams to collaborate.

We've tested out a lot of other platforms and they and are yet to find one that souls our video production remote post production solution fully. Lucid has been great for combining our in-house teams to the same projects with ease and speed.

We have yet to be able to make it possible for us to provide links to the projects with freelances which as you can appreciate is a large part of the modern day production environment

Sometimes there are issues with unpacking compressed files or accessing certain files.

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I appreciate the excellent performance and ease of setup with LucidLink compared to other compatibility storage solutions. The tool is straightforward, with a clean and clear dashboard that simplifies configuration. The powerful features such as user management, file space monitoring, access control, performance, billing, subscriptions, and security settings are particularly beneficial. I value the user management and monitoring capabilities which make managing and monitoring the file space easy via a web-based control panel. Furthermore, the seamless integration with backup solutions makes cloud storage management effortless for our clients. My clients and partners are very satisfied with the support provided by LucidLink, and this contributes to my confidence in recommending it. As of now, there have been no major issues, making it a reliable tool for us and our partners.

I think that the security features are lacking and could be improved. While overall, everything is good, I believe that adding more security features could enhance user management and other aspects of the service.

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

Switching from our previous server solution to LucidLink has been completely seamless. There have been no lags or disruptions at any point. Onboarding the entire team was straightforward, and everyone can access it both in the office and remotely without any trouble. The team, including myself, relies on it daily, and I have not faced any issues. I especially appreciate how easy it is to mount backups, locate files that might have been lost, and recover them quickly.

So far, I haven't found anything to dislike.

I appreciate how easy it is to use, especially when it comes to managing and sharing files across our creative team. There are no problems with permissions when adding or uploading files, which makes collaboration much smoother. I also really like being able to control access based on user roles and groups. Our previous solution often had permission issues and lagged, causing frequent disruptions, but this one is seamless, fast, and straightforward to use.

**What do you like best about LucidLink?**

I really appreciate how LucidLink allows everyone to work from the same version seamlessly, which is incredibly useful for our team, especially when dealing with large video and audio production files. This single version access significantly reduces the complications of managing different versions of a file and eliminates the need for constant relinking of audio or video files, which was a significant issue for us in the past. The ease of setup and integration into my file system on a Mac was also straightforward and did not pose any challenges, which made onboarding quite easy. For complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, I haven't found anything comparable to LucidLink in terms of collaboration and efficiency.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

{"I experienced an issue where LucidLink stopped updating my work to the server without notifying me, which led to the loss of some work. While it wasn't a significant amount, it was still a challenging situation. It should make it very clear if it's not connected to the server.","I haven't found an easy way to unsync files from my computer to save space, unlike Dropbox, where you can easily make a file offline. This causes large projects to take up a lot of hard drive space.","There are occasional complications when uploading files directly from LucidLink or running a plugin on something in LucidLink, which seems dependent on internet connection. Although it's rare, sometimes things can crash, making it a more complicated experience compared to working purely from a hard drive."}

I love how LucidLink mounts like a physical drive & I can work on any software in a collaborative environment that works on my system drive. I like how I can view any asset without downloading it.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

The number of Wasabi & IBM servers is good but the latency and upload-download speeds are not as good as say, Frame.io.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Luicdlink solves the problem of remote collaboration by providing centralized storage that can be accessed worldwide. It is like having a NAS up in the cloud. When connecting the Luicdlink cloud drive to other apps like Google Drive and frame.io it becomes the single source of all data coming in & going out of the post-production environment.

I really like LucidLink's ability to help work remotely on multiple projects, especially when you and your team are collaborating from different parts of the world. The feature that allows accessing a large amount of data directly on a disk without the need to download or copy projects is particularly valuable to me. The initial setup was very easy as well.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Sometimes when the files are large, LucidLink stops working properly. It hangs quite a bit when the video file is long, especially during multi-cam editing. The ability to handle heavier files needs improvement; it lags in syncing and playback. Also, copying heavier files shows errors sometimes.

Lucid makes easier to upload any data. Since I started using it, I just have to share link with coligues. Lucid work as bridge between data center and laptop so I just brought folder shortcut on desktop. That is even easier. Once I  laptop connected to Lucid, I just need to copy and past folder. People from here also helped to understand this. With that I have to say that Lucid needs no heavy understanding to learn. It is easier that i thought. I use it almost everyday because of my job profile.

After installed Lucid in my laptp it made my machine little bit slow and sometimes hang.

Previously we used in house server which has lot of latency. But with LucidLink it is fast and reliable even from home. I like the mobile app that works with any network. I use it everyday from my workstation and home. It is easily replaced with our previous servers.

It is an extremely useful tool for remote professional teams that need immediate access to resources and project folders, as it updates in real time. This, combined with the plugin you can install through Creative Cloud, which blocks the permission to edit when someone else has the project open and prevents it from being corrupted. In general, Lucidlink has helped speed up some processes within my company, as well as serving as a storage place for important resources; therefore, it is a tool we use daily for our organization. Best of all, it was not difficult at all to migrate from our previous storage program to Lucidlink, being able to make the change in just 1 day.

Additionally, Lucidlink's technical support responds quickly and solves problems efficiently.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

Mainly, a lot of vital information for the smooth and trouble-free use of Lucidlink is somewhat hidden or difficult to understand for the average person. For example, for many months my team had problems with cache storage space: despite believing they had unpinned all the files they weren't using, they kept seeing that they had 100GB occupied, and they had no choice but to keep increasing and increasing the cache space infinitely. When they went online to look for solutions, they couldn't find them or simply didn't understand the steps, as many technical terms are used.

Both this and the way to view the list of pinned files, or clearing the cache, are vital actions that the average user should be able to perform without the need for extensive research and technical knowledge.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Lucidlink solves problems such as waiting times to receive a file, or not having access to projects when the owner is not active. This helps me complete tasks more efficiently and also be more at ease when I'm off work hours, because I know that if necessary, another colleague can make adjustments to my projects if needed.

Also, being part of a company dedicated to creating advertisements for various clients (each with a different aesthetic), it is very useful to have access to the resources of other editors who work with the same client as I do, because I can not only reuse some of their creations, but also understand their workflows and techniques to learn and apply them myself.

Not sure if it's a LucidLink issue, but when we use it on a Windows computer, sometimes it doesn't let us change the name unless we completely restart the computer, but this only happens on Windows, so it's a little annoying. But other than that, it's great!

I appreciate LucidLink's easy setup process. It was simple to install with great support from their reps. The product doesn't strain our machines unlike OneDrive, resolving our syncing issues effectively. The proactive, responsive LucidLink team has enhanced our experience with attentive support and valuable service features.

**What do you dislike about LucidLink?**

I dislike the time-intensive nature of setting up permissions in LucidLink. Entering user permissions individually, rather than being able to assign them to a whole group at once, is cumbersome and laborious. This makes the process unnecessarily lengthy, especially when dealing with a large number of users.

**What problems is LucidLink solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LucidLink solves file length issues and data syncing problems, enhancing file sharing with external parties. It eases machine load unlike OneDrive, improving collaboration and preventing workflow slowdowns, crucial for our work.
