# Which is the top software for relational databases?

<p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">I’m trying to figure out which relational database software is considered the top choice overall. With so many options available, I’d love to hear from people who have hands-on experience.</p><p class="elv-tracking-normal elv-text-default elv-font-figtree elv-text-base elv-leading-base elv-font-normal" elv="true">From what I’ve seen on the <a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/categories/relational-databases">relational databases</a> category on G2, these seem to be some of the most widely used tools:</p><ul>

<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/amazon-relational-database-service-rds/reviews">Amazon RDS</a>: Managed service with broad engine support and seamless AWS integration. Often used for scalable web and app deployments.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/amazon-aurora/reviews">Amazon Aurora</a>: High performance and cloud-optimized. Works with MySQL and PostgreSQL and is built for low-latency applications.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/microsoft-sql-server/reviews">Microsoft SQL Server</a>: A well-established platform with robust support for transactions, analytics, and data warehousing.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/google-cloud-sql/reviews">Google Cloud SQL</a>: Managed database for MySQL and PostgreSQL on Google Cloud. Easy to deploy and works well in GCP environments.</li>
<li>
<a class="a a--md" elv="true" href="https://www.g2.com/products/oracle-database/reviews">Oracle Database</a>: Known for reliability and advanced enterprise features. Common in industries with high compliance or mission-critical needs.</li>
