I really appreciate that it removes the need for a clunky web interface. Since it mounts directly as a local drive on my machine, managing files feels completely intuitive. I can drag, drop, and organise everything using my native OS, without having to worry about storage overhead. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The pricing structure can be quite steep, particularly if you are a smaller team or an independent contractor trying to manage massive amounts of data compared to other syncing services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The biggest thing for me is that with remote work, LucidLink has allowed me not to have to deal with drives constantly, which was always a hassle. I've recently moved outside the city, so now I'm able to get on people's servers and work without waiting for a drive, which has helped the workflow overall. The cache system seems to work well too—playback once cached is pretty clean, and things cache pretty quickly, allowing the job to usually go smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The big thing for me is when I'm loading things back to clients, I don't ever really get a clear ETA on when they'll get things. Also, one thing that's kind of annoying is people will see that there's files on the server, but they're not actually there yet. They're still uploading. Then I can't even really give them an exact estimate because it shows you what's left and not how the speed is going. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It’s easy and seamless, and it saves a ton of time when syncing files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I didn't find anything unusual yet that I didn't like. Just sometimes, it doesn't connect properly on the first try if its mac, while main user has made file path in windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I appreciate LucidLink because it lets us work on the same project across three different countries as if we're in the same building, and it can be faster than past experiences of working on the same network in the same building. What I like most about LucidLink is its rapid response, making it feel like I'm dealing with local storage while it updates the cloud version in the background, keeping all production drives on team machines updated. Additionally, I found LucidLink's tools very user-friendly, making the setup process easy for me due to my previous network administration experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think that LucidLink could be improved in terms of having more real-time control over bandwidth and in terms of file prioritizing. Also, I could have done with a slightly better walkthrough during setup. If I didn't previously have network administration experience, maybe it would have been a little bit complicated to set up. LucidLink is highly stable and extremely convenient. It has been a game changer for my team that is constantly traveling or working remote. It really makes no difference where they are working, they always have access to our files with no reduction in performance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I do like that personnel with admin rights can share entire files to make file sharing to other companies easy. However, I wish that standard users could be allowed permission to share folders as well, even if it required a password from an admin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the ease of use and of sharing content. It works just like a hard drive, so everyone knows how to use it. It's also fast with a decent internet connection, and there's so much that it helps with. It's great for transferring footage to editors and finishing projects when an editor is out of office or unavailable, plus it solves our long term storage needs. We had a tight deadline on a project and one of our editors was out, so we needed another editor to hop on and start the edit, and then the original editor was able to finish it. I also chose it for the cost and the amount of storage. The initial setup was incredibly easy, and we had assistance with every step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

{"I find that sometimes the speed struggles with larger projects.","I've noticed that pinning doesn't always seem to work. I will pin footage, and it will still take a long time to load.","It can be annoying needing to make proxies for every project."} Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Lucid Link is great for a remote project with multiple users. It allows almost instant sharing of outputs for clients. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I don’t have a large boot drive and initially LucidLink took up 70 gigs and left me with little space. I then learned you can set the cache onto another drive and reduce LL footprint on your boot drive to a minimum Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use LucidLink for my remote video editors, who edit a whole bunch of raw footage through it. What I like most is that it makes sharing raw footage and large files very, very fast. With Dropbox and other file sharing services, remote editors could take a day overnight to two days to download footage, but with LucidLink you can access it instantly. It's very easy to use, very intuitive, and cost effective. I don't really use any specific tools within it, I just like the functionality of sharing files very quickly. I use it alongside video editing programs like DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere Pro. We switched from Dropbox and WeTransfer, with WeTransfer being our primary tool, and we moved to LucidLink because of speed and the ease of collaboration. The initial setup was very easy. {"The one thing that I would make clearer is how much you are being charged for the month if you remove or add storage space.","I think the prorated amount shows up. It's very confusing. It's small.","I wish there was a way when you added files it gave you a pop up with the additional amount to be charged almost as a notification."} Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It works as advertised. I can seamlessly move from the office to home or any other location and continue working on my projects in the cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As the admin for the account, getting people signed up and on board can be a challenge. It is a little confusing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use LucidLink for file organization and storage in the cloud, and it's great for letting others access my files easily. It makes storing and organizing files easy and simple. I love that the upload speeds are fast and that I can view files instantly without having to download them. What stands out most is the simple UI interface and the seamless feeling that LucidLink is just an extension of my desktop file system. It's incredibly fast and easy to use for cloud file storage. The initial setup was very easy too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
