LTX Review - @NixieStudios Youtube **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Timothy B. | creator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2025 **What do you like best about LTX?** The storyboarding is exceptional, keyframing excellent, It would be nice to see the prompt that is generated by the scene and keyframe in totality, sometimes it gets hung up and without seeing the compiled prompt from the keyframe and scene it is problematic how to prevent the generation from straying from target because perhaps it is triggering on a word somewhere. So imagine the mood in described as animated, and surprise you get and anime image vs HDR. the persistence of the cast characters is good too. Ease of use is good. Ease of Implementation - the ability to become a member and user was steeper than my prior software platform that i used which was Noisee.ai. The video quality was superb, but the cast consistency was not there nor the ability to have as robust a storyboard as LTX. I will say the investment in time to come up to speed to learn the LTX was moderate, in terms of being a good level of efficient user, still have more to learn to get to expert. Intending this to be the case. Customer Support - I have not had occasion to need customer support. I was using the software consistently, of course it is credit based and if i run out of credits I did not find any easy way to replenish to complete a project. When you struggle with prompts or generations are poor the credits get consumed quickly, there is not way to take a malformed generation say someone with three arms and say thumbs down it or flag it for purpose of say a refund on a complete fail. My workflow used chatgpt to build scripts based on 5 second increments and the ease of posting to the tool was good, I did have on occasion situation where i recall posting script and requested hard number of keyframes and i got way more than needed and had to spend a lot of time stripping out the extra. This of course consumed credits. Might be nice to have a prompt after ingesting script or idea a question such as do you want to proceed with x number of scenes and keyframe generations. If i had a paid project it would be nice to be able to understand my costs for each storyboard from a cost recovery standpoint to say a client. SUGGESTION. **What do you dislike about LTX?** I will be honest my real issue here is image and video resolution. Perhaps I am using the software wrong but getting a video and getting a true 4K output for my work purposes isn't there. As a result, despite not having storyboarding and keyframing i lean elsewhere. Currently using Luma Dream Machine Ray2 as a Pro User there. So, this is not about being cheap and trying to get best for free. I am hopeful the quality of video improves, if Luma gets storyboarding like LTX regrettably I will go in that direction. The image generation feature is also very helpful because the images can be combined with the animation portions of LTX. Something else that's excellent about LTX is the ability to easily download files in a format that can be easily integrated with other video editing software. All in all, LTX allows you to envision and create what would otherwise not have been possible, and I have already used it several times to create video content. **What do you dislike about LTX?** LTX is not always that easy to use. It takes several attempts to generate what you are looking for, and sometimes what you need never gets generated. Also, the voice feature has a problem because most of the available voices don't synchronize well with the generated animation. Finally, the camera controls either don't work well, or a better tutorial needs to be made available to show how to use it. While their consistent characters are okay ... what I found myself really valuing from LTX Studio was the ability to quickly story board my videos. It lets me quickly story board, visualize, and edit a sequence together as a template for my main project. **What do you dislike about LTX?** The consistent characters could be improved upon, while yea, I can tell which characters are which, they have plenty of inconsistencies. I also don't like that when I try to edit a frame inside the project, it seems to start processing the change immediately and I'm assuming thats eating into my credit pool. So I'm forced to edit my prompts outside of LTX to keep this from happening. If you have an idea for a short movie you'd like to make, it really helps with coming up with a vision. One of the areas that it shines in is character creation. Once you create characters, it tries to maintain that character consistently across scenes, which is very helpful. I've been using it to help me make one or two videos a week for a couple of months now. A nice feature is being able to create clips of up to 9 seconds based on either a prompt or an image. **What do you dislike about LTX?** Compared to a product like Sora, the physics tend to be a lot worse. I love the easy interface. I haven't been this creatively excited in a long time. This tool will allow me to make great looking music videos to match the mood of the songs I'm creating. **What do you dislike about LTX?** I don't think this has to do with LTX Studio exactly, I think AI still has trouble generating certain things. For example hands. Whenever I have it generate something like 'two people going to hold hands' AI generates 6 or more fingers on both peoples hand and when they go to hold hands they intertwine together like silly putty! lol I found ways around that though by telling the prompt to move slower when a movement is explained. AI seems to be better able to keep a hand looking like a hand if it moves slower in frame. **What problems is LTX solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before, my music videos were stock photos and stock video clips I'm finding that are free to help match the music. However now, I can script a narrative for the music lyrics that allows the video instead to show more scenes and views and angles to each clip for the lyrics and it's now opening up a world of options for my videos. Also I appreciate the attempt at having consistent characters, including facial overlays. **What do you dislike about LTX?** 1. The generated movement of characters is very sketchy. 2. There's no "undo" for key things - such as deleting a scene or if accidentally hitting the regenerate button. 3. The length of still shots when turned into video should automatically adjust to the length of the associated audio of that scene. I tend to my my videos in the tool using still shots, but it's a big pain to manually change the length of the dialogue for that scene to match 5 seconds. I was only able to make about 1 minute of footage before my entire month's credit were consumed.
